What Citroën ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Citroën vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Citroën with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Citroën ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Citroën models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Radar calibration — from £349

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Citroën, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Collision calibration — from £349

Citroën ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Citroën calls its automatic emergency braking Active Safety Brake - you might know it as AEB. Version 2.0, fitted to the C5 X and updated C4, detects pedestrians and cyclists at speeds up to 140 km/h. Here's how Citroën names each system:

  • Highway Driver Assist - adaptive cruise control with lane centring, fitted to C5 Aircross, C4, and e-C4
  • Highway Integrated Assist Plus (HIA+) - Citroën's most advanced package, adding Semi-Automatic Lane Change and Anticipated Intelligent Speed Assist. Currently exclusive to the C5 X
  • Active Safety Brake / Active Safety Brake 2.0 - automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist - steers back into lane if you drift without indicating
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go - radar-based cruise that handles traffic queues
  • Long Range Blind Spot Monitoring - detects vehicles in adjacent lanes using rear bumper sensors
  • 360 Vision - surround-view camera system for parking
  • Driver Attention Alert / Coffee Break Alert - monitors steering patterns for fatigue

The front-facing camera sits at the top of the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is integrated into the front bumper. When either sensor is disturbed - by a windscreen replacement, bumper repair, or collision - every connected system stops functioning correctly.

When Your Citroën Needs ADAS Recalibration

After a Bumper Repair or Collision

The front radar behind your Citroën's bumper powers Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Safety Brake. A front-end repair - even a minor scuff that requires bumper removal - shifts the radar's alignment. If your cruise control stopped working after a body shop visit, the radar needs recalibration.

After Windscreen Replacement

Every ADAS-equipped Citroën has a forward-facing camera bonded to the windscreen. When the glass is replaced, the camera must be recalibrated to maintain lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, and Active Safety Brake accuracy. If your windscreen fitter couldn't complete the calibration, we handle it - it's one of our most common jobs.

Dashboard Warnings Without Obvious Cause

If your Citroën displays Active Safety Brake warnings or Adaptive Cruise Control is suddenly unavailable - with no recent repair or accident - the camera or radar may have shifted from road vibration, a minor parking knock, or sensor degradation. A diagnostic scan identifies which system needs attention.

Berlingo and SpaceTourer - Commercial Use

Citroën's commercial vehicles see more bumper damage than passenger cars. If your Berlingo or SpaceTourer has had bodywork repaired and ADAS warnings are showing, the bumper-mounted radar almost certainly needs collision calibration.

Citroën Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The C5 Aircross is Citroën's most popular SUV in the UK and comes with full Highway Driver Assist including Active Safety Brake, ACC with Stop & Go, and Active Lane Keeping. The C5 X is the flagship - the only Citroën with Highway Integrated Assist Plus (HIA+), including Semi-Automatic Lane Change. The C4 and its electric variant the e-C4 sit on the CMP platform with a strong ADAS specification for the segment.

We calibrate ADAS systems on 14 Citroën models, covering both the CMP platform (C3, C3 Aircross, C4, e-C4, e-C4 X) and the EMP2 platform (C5 Aircross, C5 X, Berlingo, e-Berlingo, SpaceTourer, e-SpaceTourer, Grand C4 SpaceTourer).
