Citroën C4 ADAS Calibration

The Citroën C4 packs a serious ADAS specification for a car built on the compact CMP platform – Highway Driver Assist, Active Safety Brake 2.0 with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go all come as standard on higher trims. When the front bumper is repaired or the windscreen replaced, multiple systems lose their calibration simultaneously because they share the same two sensors.

ADAS Systems on Your Citroën C4

The current C4 (2020+) sits on the CMP platform shared with the C3 but offers a significantly higher ADAS specification:

  • Highway Driver Assist – combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring for semi-autonomous highway driving
  • Active Safety Brake 2.0 – the upgraded version detects pedestrians and cyclists at speeds up to 140 km/h, a step beyond the standard Active Safety Brake on the C3
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar-based cruise that handles traffic queues and stop-start driving
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – steers back into lane if you drift without indicating
  • Extended Traffic Sign Recognition – reads speed limits and recommends speed adjustments
  • Driver Attention Alert – monitors steering for fatigue patterns

The front radar is integrated into the front bumper, powering ACC and the radar element of Active Safety Brake 2.0. The forward-facing camera sits behind the rear-view mirror, handling lane keeping, sign recognition, and the camera element of AEB. Both sensors feed into Highway Driver Assist.

Common ADAS Issues on the Citroën C4

After Bumper Repair

The C4's front radar powers Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Safety Brake 2.0. A bumper repair – even minor cosmetic work that requires bumper removal – shifts the radar from its calibrated position. If Highway Driver Assist and cruise control stopped working after bodywork, the radar needs recalibration.

After Windscreen Replacement

Replacing the windscreen displaces the forward-facing camera. On the C4, this affects Active Lane Keeping, Traffic Sign Recognition, and the camera input to Active Safety Brake 2.0. If your windscreen fitter completed the glass but couldn't calibrate, our Windscreen Calibration at £199 finishes the job.

Highway Driver Assist Faults

Highway Driver Assist requires both the camera and radar to function. If either sensor is misaligned, the entire suite goes offline – you'll lose lane centring, adaptive cruise, and Active Safety Brake simultaneously. A Full System Reset at £499 recalibrates everything and clears all stored fault codes.

Citroën C4 Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

After windscreen replacement on your Citroën C4, camera recalibration is our £199 service. After bumper work, radar calibration is £349. If both sensors need attention – common after a front-end collision – the e-C4 and C4 use identical procedures at the same fixed prices.

Citroën C4 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Citroën C4

Highway Driver Assist combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Active Lane Keeping Assist for semi-autonomous motorway driving. It relies on both the front radar and windscreen camera — if either sensor is disturbed, the entire system deactivates. See all Citroën models we calibrate
