Citroën C5 Aircross ADAS Calibration

The C5 Aircross is the most popular Citroën SUV in the UK – and the most common Citroën we see for ADAS calibration. It carries Highway Driver Assist with Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Safety Brake, and Active Lane Keeping as standard on most trims. Both the front radar and windscreen camera need precise alignment, and a bumper repair or windscreen replacement throws one or both out of calibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Citroën C5 Aircross

The C5 Aircross (2019+) sits on Stellantis's EMP2 platform – the same architecture as the Peugeot 3008 and Vauxhall Grandland. It carries a comprehensive ADAS suite:

  • Highway Driver Assist – combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring for semi-autonomous driving on motorways and dual carriageways
  • Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking via camera and radar fusion. Detects vehicles and obstacles ahead
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – front radar maintains distance to the vehicle ahead, including full stop-and-go in traffic
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – steering intervention when you drift without indicating
  • Long Range Blind Spot Monitoring – rear bumper sensors detect vehicles in adjacent lanes
  • Extended Traffic Sign Recognition – camera reads speed limits and road signs
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing out of parking spaces
  • 360 Vision – surround-view camera system on higher trims
  • Coffee Break Alert – fatigue detection via steering pattern analysis

The front radar is integrated into the front bumper. The forward-facing camera sits behind the rear-view mirror. Blind Spot and Rear Cross Traffic sensors are in the rear bumper corners.

Why Your C5 Aircross Might Need ADAS Calibration

After Bumper Repair or Front-End Work

The C5 Aircross's raised ride height means the front bumper sits at car park barrier level – minor collisions and parking damage are common. The radar behind the bumper powers ACC and Active Safety Brake. If your cruise control or Highway Driver Assist stopped working after bodywork, the radar has shifted and needs recalibration.

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward camera handles lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, and the camera input to Active Safety Brake. A windscreen swap displaces the camera from its factory position. Our Windscreen Calibration at £199 restores all camera-dependent systems.

Blind Spot and Rear Cross Traffic Faults

If rear bumper repairs have affected the BSM or RCTA sensors, these systems will show dashboard warnings. The rear sensors need separate calibration from the front camera and radar.

Citroën C5 Aircross ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Citroën C5 Aircross

Yes — both share the EMP2 platform with identical sensor hardware and calibration procedures. The system names differ (Citroën calls it Highway Driver Assist, Peugeot uses Drive Assist 2.0) but the underlying sensors, positions, and calibration targets are the same.
