Peugeot e-Expert ADAS Calibration

Fleet managers switching to the Peugeot e-Expert know the operating cost benefits – but when Active Safety Brake goes offline after a loading bay bump, the van sits idle. The e-Expert (2020+) carries the same sensor suite as the diesel Expert on the EMP2 platform, with ACC feeding distance data into regenerative braking. ADAS Line recalibrates all e-Expert systems at 70+ UK workshops with fixed pricing.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot e-Expert

The e-Expert (2020+) is the electric Expert. All ADAS hardware is shared with the diesel variant and Stellantis siblings – Citroen e-Dispatch and Vauxhall Vivaro Electric. Same sensor positions, Peugeot EV-specific software.

Standard across all e-Expert variants:

  • Active Safety Brake – windscreen camera AEB with vehicle detection. Standard on panel van, crew cab, and platform cab.
  • Lane Departure Warning – windscreen camera monitors lane markings during motorway driving.
  • Driver Attention Alert – steering pattern analysis for drowsiness.

Available on Professional+ and Asphalt trims:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control – radar behind the front bumper. On the e-Expert, ACC integrates with regenerative braking – accurate radar alignment is critical for energy recovery.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear quarter radar sensors for the e-Expert's substantial blind spots.

The e-Expert's 50 kWh or 75 kWh battery adds weight that ADAS factors into stopping distance calculations. The flat front panel places the radar in the same exposed position as the diesel variant.

Why Your Peugeot e-Expert Needs Calibration

Loading bay and depot impacts

Electric vans operate in the same tight environments as diesel equivalents – depots, building sites, loading bays. The e-Expert's front bumper takes regular low-speed contact that shifts the radar enough to trigger Active Safety Brake and ACC faults. Body shops complete panel work but rarely have the diagnostics for ADAS recalibration.

Windscreen replacement on delivery vehicles

High daily mileage means frequent windscreen damage. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration for Active Safety Brake and Lane Departure Warning. Most glass companies can't complete this step.

Maximising range between charges

A misaligned radar causes ACC to rely on friction brakes instead of regenerative braking. For fleet operators tracking range-per-charge, this means lower efficiency. Correct calibration restores ACC-to-regen coordination. Read more about what ADAS calibration involves.

Peugeot e-Expert ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot e-Expert

No. The e-Expert uses identical sensor hardware in the same positions as the diesel Expert. The calibration process is the same. The difference is how ACC coordinates with the electric drivetrain's regenerative braking — a misaligned radar affects both safety and energy efficiency.
