SEAT Arona ADAS Calibration

The SEAT Arona sits on VW Group's MQB A0 platform – the same compact architecture as the VW Polo and Ibiza. That means the front radar behind the grille badge and the windscreen-mounted camera are positioned identically across all three models. If your Arona's Lane Assist or Front Assist stopped working after windscreen replacement, we use the same calibration targets and equipment as for every other VW Group vehicle.

ADAS Systems on the SEAT Arona

The Arona launched in 2017 as SEAT's compact crossover and received a facelift in 2021:

Arona Pre-Facelift (2017–2021):

  • Front Assist with City Emergency Braking – standard from launch
  • ACC – optional on Xcellence trim
  • Lane Assist – optional, windscreen camera-based
  • Rear parking sensors – standard on most trims

Arona Facelift (2021+):

  • Front Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection – standard
  • ACC – available on FR and Xperience trims
  • Lane Assist with active correction
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – camera-dependent
  • Rear Traffic Alert – optional on higher trims

The Arona uses the MQB A0 platform shared with the Ibiza and VW Polo, which means a more compact sensor arrangement than the larger Leon or Ateca. The radar module sits behind a smaller grille badge, and the windscreen camera housing is positioned slightly lower than on MQB models – but calibration requirements are the same.

Common Arona ADAS Triggers

After Windscreen Replacement

The Arona's compact windscreen means the forward-facing camera sits closer to the rearview mirror mount than on larger SEATs. After a windscreen swap, the camera position tolerance is tight – even a small misalignment disables Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition. Our Windscreen Calibration at £199 restores the camera to its factory reference point.

Bumper Repair or Minor Front-End Contact

Compact crossovers like the Arona sit at car park bumper height, making the front grille badge – and the radar sensor behind it – particularly vulnerable to low-speed impacts. If Front Assist or ACC warnings appeared after a car park incident or bumper respray, the radar alignment needs checking.

Aftermarket Modifications

Fitting a front numberplate bracket, aftermarket grille, or even a phone mount near the windscreen camera can interfere with ADAS sensors. If your Arona shows warnings after any modification to the front end or windscreen area, calibration may be required.

SEAT Arona ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the SEAT Arona

They share the same MQB A0 platform and identical sensor hardware — same radar module, same windscreen camera unit. The Arona's slightly higher ride height doesn't change the calibration procedure. Both use the same equipment and targets. See all SEAT models we calibrate
