The Elroq launched with Škoda's most advanced driver assistance package, benefiting from the MEB platform's clean-sheet sensor integration:

• Front Assist – Automatic emergency braking. Uses a bumper-integrated radar sensor (not behind the grille badge like MQB-based Škodas such as the Octavia or Superb).
• ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) – Predictive cruise control that reads speed signs and adjusts for bends. Shares the front radar with Front Assist.
• Lane Assist – Windscreen camera-based lane keeping with active steering correction.
• Side Assist – Blind spot monitoring via rear corner radar sensors.
• Travel Assist – Combined ACC and Lane Assist for semi-autonomous motorway driving. Requires both radar and camera calibration to function.
• Park Assist Plus – Ultrasonic sensors with 360-degree camera on higher trims.

The key difference from traditional Škodas: the Elroq's front radar is positioned lower in the bumper, making it more exposed to minor parking impacts and kerb-level damage that wouldn't affect a grille-mounted sensor.

Because the Elroq's radar sits in the lower bumper rather than behind the grille, even a low-speed parking knock can shift the sensor. Owners who wouldn't think twice about a minor scuff on a conventional Škoda may find their ACC and Front Assist deactivated after what seemed like nothing.

After Windscreen Replacement

The Elroq's windscreen camera handles Lane Assist and Travel Assist. After windscreen replacement, this camera requires static recalibration using manufacturer-approved targets – a step many windscreen fitters cannot complete for the MEB platform.
