Smart Fortwo ADAS Calibration

The Smart ForTwo – the iconic two-seat city car – predates the modern ADAS era. The W453 generation (2014–2019) carries ultrasonic parking sensors and basic stability systems but no forward camera, no radar, and no driver assistance that requires professional calibration after repairs. If you are searching for Smart ADAS calibration, you likely own one of the new Smart models.

What ADAS the Smart ForTwo Has

The ForTwo W453 has only basic aids:

  • Ultrasonic Parking Sensors – rear as standard
  • Crosswind Assist – stability intervention in strong crosswinds on bridges and exposed roads
  • Hill Start Assist – holds the brake momentarily on inclines

No windscreen camera, no front radar, no AEB, no lane keeping, no adaptive cruise. The ForTwo was designed for urban agility, not motorway assistance.

When You Might Still Contact Us

After Bumper Repair – Parking Sensors

If your ForTwo's parking sensors stopped working after a rear bumper repair, the ultrasonic sensors may have been displaced. This is a sensor positioning issue rather than an ADAS calibration, but we can assess it.

You Might Have a Different Smart

The Smart EQ ForTwo (electric version) is equally limited on ADAS. But the new Smart #1 and #3 are fully ADAS-equipped electric SUVs requiring camera and radar calibration after any windscreen or bumper work. If your Smart has lane keeping or cruise control warnings, you have a new-generation model.
