Subaru BRZ ADAS Calibration

The Subaru BRZ is a driver's car built for the road and track – and its ADAS specification reflects that. The first-generation BRZ (2012–2020) has no EyeSight and no camera-based ADAS at all. The second-generation BRZ (2021+) adds basic EyeSight with Pre-Collision Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control, but it's a stripped-down version compared to the Forester or Outback. If you own a newer BRZ with EyeSight, windscreen replacement does trigger a calibration requirement.

ADAS Systems on the Subaru BRZ

First generation (2012–2020):

  • No EyeSight, no camera ADAS, no radar
  • Basic vehicle stability control only
  • Does not require ADAS calibration

Second generation (2021+):

  • EyeSight – Subaru's stereo camera system, but with limited functionality compared to other Subaru models
  • Pre-Collision Braking – automatic emergency braking via dual stereo cameras behind the windscreen
  • Adaptive Cruise Control – camera-based, no front radar
  • Lane Departure Warning – basic alert when drifting

The second-gen BRZ's EyeSight uses the same stereo camera pair mounted behind the windscreen as other Subaru models – but advanced features like Lane Keep Assist and DriverFocus are not available on the BRZ.

When Your Subaru BRZ Needs Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement (2021+ Only)

If your second-generation BRZ has EyeSight, both stereo cameras are bonded to the windscreen. When the glass is replaced, the cameras lose their factory alignment. Subaru-specific calibration targets are required – generic equipment won't work. Our Windscreen Calibration at £199 covers both cameras.

"EyeSight Disabled" Warning

If your 2021+ BRZ displays "EyeSight Disabled," the stereo cameras have lost alignment. Pre-Collision Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control both go offline. Windscreen work is the most common cause.

Subaru BRZ Calibration Pricing

Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349

Most BRZ owners need windscreen calibration at £199 – the stereo cameras are the only ADAS sensors. First-gen BRZ owners (2012–2020) likely don't need ADAS calibration at all. See all Subaru models we calibrate
