Suzuki Swift ADAS Calibration

The new-generation Suzuki Swift packs more safety technology than most owners expect from a budget supermini – Dual Sensor Brake Support with pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Weaving Alert all powered by a camera and laser behind the windscreen. After a windscreen replacement, every one of these systems needs recalibrating. Your windscreen fitter replaces the glass – we recalibrate the safety systems behind it.

ADAS Systems on Your Suzuki Swift

The Swift uses different ADAS systems depending on the generation:

Current generation (2024+):

  • Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) – Enhanced version with pedestrian detection. Monocular camera + laser behind the windscreen.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – Camera-based lane monitoring
  • Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) – Active steering intervention if the vehicle drifts
  • Weaving Alert – Driver attention monitoring
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Available on higher trims
  • High Beam Assist (HBA) – Automatic headlight switching
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – Camera-based

Previous generation (2017–2024):

  • DSBS – Standard monocular camera + laser
  • LDW and Weaving Alert – Camera-based
  • HBA – Available on SZ5 trim

Older Swift SZ-L models: Some carried Radar Brake Support (RBS) with a bumper-mounted radar rather than windscreen sensors.

All current and recent Swift models have sensors behind the windscreen – windscreen replacement is the primary calibration trigger.

Common Swift ADAS Issues

After Windscreen Replacement

The DSBS camera and laser sensor sit behind the windscreen near the rearview mirror. After glass replacement, both must be recalibrated as a unit. This is our £199 Windscreen Calibration – the most common Swift calibration.

"Dual Sensor Brake Support" Warning

If this warning appears on your Swift's dashboard, the DSBS system has lost calibration. Common causes: windscreen work, dirty or obstructed windscreen in the camera area, or sensor misalignment from vibration. The warning won't self-clear – professional recalibration is required.

Budget Car, Real Consequences

Swift owners sometimes dismiss ADAS warnings because the car is affordable. But DSBS is an active braking system – if it's not calibrated correctly, it may not activate in an emergency or could activate at the wrong time. Calibration matters regardless of the vehicle's price.

Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349

Most Swift calibrations are windscreen work – our £199 fixed rate covering DSBS camera and laser realignment. If your older Swift has RBS (bumper radar), that's our £349 Radar Calibration. See all Suzuki models we calibrate

Suzuki Swift ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Suzuki Swift

Yes. The 2024+ Swift adds pedestrian detection to DSBS, Lane Departure Prevention (active steering), ACC, and TSR. The previous generation had basic DSBS and LDW. Both generations need windscreen calibration after glass replacement, but the new Swift has more systems depending on that single camera.
