Suzuki Vitara ADAS Calibration

The Suzuki Vitara is our most commonly calibrated Suzuki – and the model where the RBS-to-DSBS transition matters most. Pre-2024 Vitaras have Radar Brake Support with a millimetre-wave radar in the front bumper. The 2024 facelift switched to Dual Sensor Brake Support II behind the windscreen. The repair that triggers calibration is completely different depending on your model year – bumper work for older models, windscreen replacement for newer ones.

ADAS Systems on Your Suzuki Vitara

2015–2023 Vitara (RBS)

  • Radar Brake Support (RBS) – Millimetre-wave radar in the front bumper/grille area for AEB
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Radar-based
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – Camera-based
  • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – Rear radar sensors (on higher trims)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – Rear radar sensors
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – Camera-based

The primary AEB sensor is in the front bumper. Front-end repairs trigger calibration.

2024+ Vitara (DSBS II)

  • Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II) – Enhanced monocular camera + laser behind the windscreen
  • ACC – Camera and sensor-assisted
  • BSM and RCTA – Rear radar sensors
  • TSR – Camera-based
  • LDW – Camera-based

DSBS II moves the primary AEB sensor to the windscreen. Windscreen replacement now triggers calibration.

When Your Vitara Needs Calibration

Pre-2024: After Bumper Repair or Front-End Collision

The RBS radar sits in the front bumper. Any frontal impact, bumper replacement, or grille work shifts this sensor. "Radar Brake Support malfunction" warnings appear on the dashboard. Radar calibration at £349 resolves the fault.

2024+: After Windscreen Replacement

DSBS II camera and laser sit behind the windscreen. Glass replacement triggers calibration. Our £199 Windscreen Calibration restores DSBS II, LDW, and TSR.

BSM/RCTA After Rear-End Damage

Both generations (where equipped) have rear radar for blind spot monitoring. After rear bumper repair, these sensors need recalibration for accurate detection.

Suzuki Vitara ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Suzuki Vitara

Model year determines it. 2015–2023 Vitaras have Radar Brake Support (bumper radar). The 2024 facelift switched to DSBS II (windscreen camera + laser). Your dashboard warnings will use the specific system name — "Radar Brake Support" or "Dual Sensor Brake Support." Or get a quote with your registration and we'll confirm.
