Toyota Proace Verso ADAS Calibration

The Toyota Proace Verso is a people carrier built by Stellantis, not by Toyota – it shares its platform, body, and ADAS hardware with the Peugeot Traveller and Citroen SpaceTourer. This means it does not use Toyota Safety Sense. Its safety systems run on Stellantis software with different sensors, different error codes, and different calibration requirements from the rest of the Toyota range. Our IMI-certified technicians calibrate the Proace Verso's Stellantis-derived ADAS at 70+ UK workshops.

ADAS Systems on the Toyota Proace Verso

The Proace Verso (2016+) carries Stellantis-sourced ADAS – identical hardware to its Peugeot and Citroen siblings:

  • Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking using the windscreen-mounted camera. Not the same as Toyota's Pre-Collision System – different detection algorithms and calibration targets.
  • Lane Departure Warning – camera-based lane monitoring. Alerts when drifting without indicating.
  • Speed Limit Recognition – reads road signs through the windscreen camera.
  • Driver Attention Alert – monitors steering behaviour to detect fatigue.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – radar modules in the rear quarter panels on higher-spec trims. Detects vehicles in adjacent lanes.

The Proace Verso's windscreen camera sits lower and further forward than in Toyota passenger cars, due to the MPV's tall, upright windscreen angle. Standard Toyota Safety Sense calibration targets do not apply – this vehicle needs Stellantis-specific calibration profiles.

Unlike the panel van Proace, the Proace Verso seats up to nine passengers and is often used by families and private hire operators – meaning its ADAS systems protect more occupants per trip.

When Your Proace Verso Needs ADAS Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The Proace Verso's large, steep windscreen is the primary mounting point for the ADAS camera. Glass replacement moves the camera from its calibrated position – disabling Active Safety Brake, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Recognition until the camera is recalibrated. The tall windscreen angle means calibration must account for the steeper camera pitch compared to passenger cars.

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Repair

The Proace Verso's box-shaped front end takes different impacts from saloons and SUVs – car park pillars, tight manoeuvres, and loading bay incidents are common. Front bumper damage can affect any forward-facing sensor. Our collision calibration restores all front-facing ADAS functions.

Private Hire and Fleet Use

Many Proace Verso vehicles operate as private hire, airport shuttle, or family transport. These vehicles see high mileage and frequent windscreen replacements from motorway stone chips. If you operate Proace Verso vehicles commercially and need ADAS calibration after glass or body repairs, we handle fleet work across our UK-wide workshop network.
