Vauxhall Insignia ADAS Calibration

The Vauxhall Insignia is a GM-era model – and that matters for ADAS calibration. Unlike newer Stellantis-platform Vauxhalls, the Insignia uses General Motors sensor hardware with its own calibration procedures. If your Insignia's Forward Collision Alert or Lane Departure Warning has flagged up after a repair, the fix isn't the same as for a Corsa or Mokka.

ADAS Systems on the Vauxhall Insignia

The Insignia came in two generations, both built on GM platforms:

Insignia B / Grand Sport (2017-2022):

  • Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking – camera and radar fusion. Radar behind the front badge, camera behind the windscreen.
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – camera-dependent.
  • Side Blind Spot Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert – radar sensors in the rear bumper quarters.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based, available on higher trims (Elite Nav, GSi).
  • 360-degree camera – top trims, four cameras for a bird's-eye parking view.

Insignia A (2008-2017):

  • Limited ADAS on post-2013 facelifts only. Basic Forward Collision Alert and LDW on higher trims. Camera-only, no front radar.

The Insignia is GM-platform – it does not share sensor hardware with Stellantis Vauxhalls like the Astra or Corsa. Calibration procedures are Insignia-specific.

Why Your Vauxhall Insignia Might Need ADAS Calibration

After bumper repair or collision

The Insignia B's front radar behind the badge shifts during any front-end work – bumper replacement, respray, or collision. ACC and Forward Collision Alert stop working until recalibrated. The Side Blind Spot Alert sensors in the rear bumper are equally sensitive to rear-end repairs.

After windscreen replacement

Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning rely on the windscreen-mounted camera. If your windscreen fitter completed the glass replacement but couldn't calibrate the camera, you'll see persistent LKA and LDW warnings. Our windscreen calibration resolves this.

Insignia as a Cat S/N salvage purchase

The Insignia is popular on the used car market, and Cat S/N salvage vehicles frequently arrive with ADAS out of calibration from the original damage. If you've bought a salvage Insignia with dashboard warnings, a full system reset may be needed.

Vauxhall Insignia Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The Insignia B often needs both front radar and rear sensor calibration after collision repair – our £349 collision calibration covers the affected systems. If you've bought a salvage Insignia with multiple warnings, the £499 full system reset is usually the right option.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Insignia
