Vauxhall Mokka X ADAS Calibration

Still driving the GM-era Mokka X? This 2016-2019 crossover sits on an entirely different platform from the current Stellantis Mokka – with different sensor hardware, different mounting positions, and different calibration requirements. If your Mokka X has Forward Collision Alert or Lane Departure Warning faults after a repair, we calibrate the GM-platform systems with the same precision as the newer Stellantis models.

ADAS on the Vauxhall Mokka X (2016-2019)

The Mokka X was the facelifted version of the original Mokka, built on GM's Gamma II platform – no relation to the 2021+ Mokka's Stellantis CMP architecture. Its ADAS is simpler and entirely camera-based:

  • Forward Collision Alert – camera detects vehicles ahead and warns the driver. Not full AEB on most trims – the system alerts rather than brakes autonomously.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when drifting without indicating. Camera-dependent.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – reads speed limit signs through the windscreen camera.
  • Rear parking sensors – ultrasonic, standard on most trims.

The Mokka X does not have Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, or Side Blind Spot Alert. There is no front radar – all ADAS functions rely on the single forward camera behind the windscreen near the rearview mirror.

This is a key difference from the newer Mokka, which adds IntelliLux headlights, LKA, and optional ACC with front radar. The Mokka X is a simpler calibration, but the camera still needs specialist equipment to realign after windscreen work.

Mokka X – Common Calibration Triggers

Windscreen replacement

Every ADAS function on the Mokka X depends on the forward camera. When the windscreen is replaced, the camera angle changes – even a small shift causes Forward Collision Alert and LDW to misread the road. Your windscreen fitter handles the glass; we handle the camera calibration.

Front-end collision

Although the Mokka X has no front radar, a significant front-end impact can jar the camera mounting bracket behind the windscreen. If Forward Collision Alert warnings appeared after body shop repairs, the camera alignment needs checking – the bracket may have shifted during the impact or during panel work.

Confusion with the 2021+ Mokka

Garages sometimes quote for Stellantis-platform Mokka calibration when the car is actually a GM-platform Mokka X. The hardware is completely different. Give us your registration number when requesting a quote and we'll confirm the exact platform and calibration requirements.

Vauxhall Mokka X Calibration Pricing

Vauxhall Mokka X ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Mokka X

No. The Mokka X (2016-2019) uses GM's Gamma II platform with camera-only ADAS. The Mokka (2021+) uses Stellantis CMP with IntelliLux headlights, optional radar, and a more advanced sensor suite. Different hardware, different calibration procedures. See all Vauxhall models.
