Vauxhall Zafira Tourer ADAS Calibration

The Zafira Tourer is a discontinued GM-platform MPV, but thousands remain on UK roads – and their ADAS systems still need calibration after repairs. If your Zafira Tourer's Forward Collision Alert or Lane Departure Warning has been playing up since a windscreen change, the forward camera behind the glass needs professional realignment.

ADAS Systems on the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

Produced from 2011 to 2019, the Zafira Tourer sits on GM's Delta II platform. Its ADAS package is modest compared to current Stellantis-based Vauxhalls, but the systems present still require specialist calibration:

  • Forward Collision Alert – camera-based collision warning on higher trims (2014+). Alerts the driver but does not brake autonomously on most models.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible lane drift alert using the windscreen camera. Available from 2014 on mid and higher trims.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera reads speed limit signs. Bundled with LDW on equipped models.
  • Rear parking sensors – ultrasonic, standard across most trims.
  • Rear parking camera – fitted on higher trims and later model years.

The Zafira Tourer has no Adaptive Cruise Control, no Lane Keep Assist, and no front radar. All ADAS functions rely on the forward camera mounted behind the windscreen. This makes calibration straightforward – but no less important. An uncalibrated camera means Forward Collision Alert and LDW cannot function correctly.

Pre-2014 Zafira Tourers typically lack camera-based ADAS entirely and only have ultrasonic parking sensors.

Zafira Tourer – When Calibration Is Needed

After windscreen replacement

This is by far the most common trigger. The Zafira Tourer's large windscreen area means frequent stone chip damage, leading to windscreen replacements. Every replacement shifts the camera – and most windscreen fitters don't have ADAS calibration equipment. Our windscreen calibration at £199 completes the job.

After front-end accident repair

A collision affecting the windscreen area or A-pillars can shift the camera mounting bracket. Body shops repair the structure and panels but often can't recalibrate the camera. If Forward Collision Alert warnings appeared after collision repair, the camera needs realignment.

Age-related sensor degradation

As a discontinued model, some Zafira Tourers are now 10+ years old. Camera brackets can loosen over time, and software may need updating before calibration. Our technicians check the mounting hardware as part of the calibration process. We also calibrate the Insignia, another GM-platform Vauxhall with similar sensor configurations.

Vauxhall Zafira Tourer ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

Models from 2014 onwards with mid or higher trim levels include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition — all camera-based. Earlier models (2011-2013) typically only have parking sensors. Check your trim level or give us your registration and we'll confirm.
