Not necessarily. BYD designs and manufactures its own sensors, so calibration requires BYD-specific diagnostic software and targets. As DiPilot 100 rolls out to UK models, the sensor count per vehicle will nearly triple, making calibration after body repairs even more critical.

Does BYD ADAS calibration differ from other Chinese EV brands?

Yes. Unlike [MG](/mg) or [NIO](/nio), which use industry-standard Bosch or third-party sensor suppliers, BYD manufactures its own ADAS sensors and computing hardware. This means BYD-specific calibration procedures – different equipment, different targets, different diagnostic protocols.
