Citroën ë-Berlingo ADAS Calibration

The electric ë-Berlingo uses the same ADAS sensor hardware as the standard Berlingo – Active Safety Brake, Speed Limit Recognition, and Coffee Break Alert all run through the same windscreen camera and front bumper radar. The electric drivetrain changes nothing about ADAS calibration. If your ë-Berlingo's safety systems stopped working after a bumper repair or windscreen replacement, the sensors need recalibrating.

ADAS Systems on Your Citroën ë-Berlingo

The ë-Berlingo (2021+) sits on the EMP2 platform and carries the same ADAS specification as its ICE counterpart:

  • Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking using the windscreen-mounted camera
  • Speed Limit Recognition – reads road signs through the forward camera
  • Coffee Break Alert – steering-based fatigue monitoring
  • Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper

The front radar is integrated into the front bumper. The forward camera sits behind the rear-view mirror. Both sensor positions are identical to the standard Berlingo – same mounting points, same calibration targets.

Common ADAS Issues on the ë-Berlingo

After Bumper Repair

Like the standard Berlingo, the ë-Berlingo sees regular front-end damage from commercial use. The radar behind the front bumper needs recalibration after any bumper removal, replacement, or impact repair. Active Safety Brake warnings are the telltale sign.

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward camera handles Speed Limit Recognition and contributes to Active Safety Brake. A windscreen swap requires camera recalibration at £199 – the same procedure and price as the standard Berlingo.

EV-Specific Consideration

Some ë-Berlingo owners assume electric vehicles have different ADAS requirements. They don't – the ADAS sensors, cameras, and calibration procedures are identical to the combustion Berlingo. The electric motor and battery have no bearing on camera or radar alignment.
