Same MEB platform and similar sensor hardware, but the Tavascan has its own body shape and ride height. Calibration targets are model-specific — while the procedures overlap with VW ID.4/ID.5, the reference angles differ. Our equipment covers both.

Does the Tavascan have the same error codes as other Cupra models?

The Tavascan (2024+) runs on the VW Group MEB platform:

The Tavascan's SUV body sits higher than the Born, so the radar and camera are calibrated to different reference angles despite using the same MEB sensor hardware. This means a Born calibration target doesn't directly transfer to the Tavascan – model-specific procedures apply.

Bumper Repair on a Large EV

The Tavascan's SUV proportions mean a larger front bumper area with the radar sensor behind it. Car park impacts and minor collisions are the most common trigger for "Front Assist not available" and "ACC unavailable" warnings. Radar calibration at £349 resolves both.

Side and Exit Assist After Rear Damage

The rear bumper radar sensors monitor blind spots and warn when opening doors into traffic. Rear-end impacts or aftermarket modifications (towbar, parking sensors) can shift these sensors from their calibrated positions.
