ADAS Calibration for Cupra models

Cupra wraps VW Group engineering in a performance shell - but underneath the styling, your Formentor, Leon, or Born runs the same ADAS hardware as a Volkswagen or SEAT. Front Assist, ACC, Lane Assist, Travel Assist - identical names, identical sensors, identical calibration procedures. We calibrate VW Group vehicles every day across all four brands, so when your Cupra's radar needs realigning after a bumper repair, we already know the system cold. ADAS calibration for your Cupra, from £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

Cupra ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Cupra model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Cupra model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Cupra ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Cupra vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Cupra with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Cupra ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Cupra models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Cupra, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Cupra ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Cupra uses standard VW Group ADAS naming - no rebranding, no unique system names. If you've looked up a fix for a VW or SEAT, the same information applies to your Cupra:

  • Front Assist (with City Emergency Braking) - Automatic emergency braking using the radar sensor behind the Cupra badge on the front grille. Same sensor position as VW (behind the VW badge) and SEAT (behind the SEAT badge). Any bumper or grille work displaces this sensor.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) - Shares the same front radar as Front Assist. Maintains speed and distance to the car ahead. "ACC not available" after a repair means the radar is out of alignment.
  • Lane Assist - Camera-based lane keeping through the windscreen-mounted camera. Reads road markings and corrects steering if you drift without signalling. Needs recalibration after any windscreen replacement.
  • Side and Exit Assist - Blind spot monitoring plus door-opening warning. Uses rear-mounted radar sensors in the bumper corners. Triggered after rear-end repairs or rear bumper replacement.
  • Travel Assist - Cupra's Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, combining ACC and Lane Assist into a single system. Both the front radar and windscreen camera must be calibrated for Travel Assist to engage.
  • Connected Travel Assist - Available on the Terramar and Tavascan. Adds cloud-connected route data to Travel Assist for smoother motorway driving. Same calibration requirements as standard Travel Assist.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition - Camera-dependent system, recalibrated alongside Lane Assist after windscreen work.

On MQB models (Leon, Formentor, Ateca), the front radar sits behind the Cupra badge on the grille. On MEB models (Born, Tavascan), the camera and radar architecture mirrors the VW ID range. Same sensors, same calibration targets, same procedures.

What Triggers Cupra ADAS Faults

Front bumper repair or badge replacement: The radar sensor is mounted directly behind the Cupra emblem on the front grille - the same location as on every VW Group car. Bumper replacement, grille swap, front-end collision repair, or even a new badge fitting shifts the sensor. You'll see "Front Assist not available" or "ACC unavailable" on the dashboard. This is the most common reason Cupra owners contact us, and it's a standard radar calibration fix.

Windscreen replacement: Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Travel Assist all depend on the forward-facing camera bonded to the windscreen. If your windscreen was replaced, the camera position has changed - even by a fraction of a degree. Windscreen calibration restores it to manufacturer specification.

Dashboard warnings after minor contact: Cupra shares VW Group diagnostic codes. Error code C110300 means the ACC radar is misaligned. C110b54 means Front Assist has lost its basic settings. Both can appear after surprisingly minor events - a car park bump, aftermarket towbar fitting, or even heavy vibration from speed bumps over time. See our ADAS error codes guide for the full list.

Post-collision or Cat S/N purchase: If you've bought a Cupra with a salvage history, the ADAS sensors were almost certainly disturbed during the original damage and may not have been recalibrated during the repair. A full system reset confirms every sensor is within specification.

Cupra Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Formentor is Cupra's best-selling model in the UK and the only Cupra without a direct SEAT twin - it's a Cupra-original. The Born follows as Cupra's EV offering on the MEB platform, sharing its architecture with the VW ID.3. The Leon rounds out the core range, built on the same MQB platform as the VW Golf and SEAT Leon.

We calibrate ADAS systems across all 8 Cupra models currently on UK roads, from the Ateca through to the new Terramar.
