The Fiat 500 is one of the UK's most popular city cars – and most owners have no idea it carries an automatic emergency braking system. From the 2016 facelift onwards, City Brake Control (CBC) uses a laser sensor in the lower windscreen area to prevent low-speed collisions. It won Euro NCAP's Advanced award in 2013, and it still needs recalibration after windscreen work – even on a car this small.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Fiat 500
If your Fiat 500 is a 2016 facelift or newer, it has City Brake Control — Fiat's laser-based automatic emergency braking. Pre-2016 models do not have ADAS systems. The easiest way to check: if your 500 has a CBC warning light on the dashboard cluster, it has the system fitted.
