ADAS Calibration for Ford models

The Ford Transit Custom is the UK's best-selling van - and one of our most common commercial vehicle calibrations after body shop repairs. Whether it's a fleet Focus with a cracked windscreen or a Kuga that's had a front-end bump, Ford's Co-Pilot360 systems need proper recalibration to function safely.

Ford ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Ford model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Ford model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Ford ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Ford vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Ford with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Ford ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Ford models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Ford, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Ford ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Ford brands its ADAS suite as Co-Pilot360 on post-2019 models. Older Fords (Focus, Fiesta pre-2019) have individual systems without the Co-Pilot360 branding, but they still require calibration after repairs.

  • Pre-Collision Assist with AEB - Ford's automatic emergency braking. Uses the forward-facing camera and radar to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead. Dashboard warning: "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available."
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go - maintains distance in traffic and brakes to a standstill. The radar sensor sits behind the Ford badge on the front grille - bumper work almost always requires recalibration.
  • Lane-Keeping System (LKS) - monitors lane markings via the windscreen camera. Needs recalibration after any windscreen replacement.
  • BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert - radar-based sensors in the rear bumper detect vehicles in adjacent lanes. Bumper or mirror replacement triggers recalibration.
  • Evasive Steering Assist - works alongside Pre-Collision Assist on newer models to steer around obstacles. Camera and radar dependent.
  • Active Park Assist 2.0 - ultrasonic parking sensors that need recalibration after bumper or sensor replacement.

When Your Ford Needs ADAS Recalibration

After bumper repair or replacement

Ford's radar sensor sits behind the front grille emblem - the same position as VW Group vehicles. Any front bumper removal, collision repair, or grille replacement shifts the radar alignment. Pre-Collision Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control will stop functioning or throw warning lights until the radar is recalibrated.

After windscreen replacement

The forward-facing camera behind the windscreen controls Lane-Keeping, Traffic Sign Recognition, and the camera side of Pre-Collision Assist. If your windscreen company replaced the glass but couldn't complete the camera calibration, we handle it.

Commercial vehicles and fleet damage

Ford Transit, Transit Custom, and Ranger are high-volume fleet vehicles that come through body shops regularly. Fleet managers and repair shops need a reliable ADAS calibration partner - ADAS Line's network of 70+ UK workshops handles commercial vehicles alongside passenger cars. If you're unsure whether your Ford needs calibration, our ADAS calibration guide explains the triggers.

"A Transit Custom owner contacted us after a body shop repaired front-end damage from a depot collision. Pre-Collision Assist was showing as unavailable and the fleet manager needed the van back on the road with full safety systems operational."

Ford Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Focus is Ford's highest-volume passenger car for ADAS calibration, while the Transit Custom leads on the commercial side. We also see a steady flow of Kuga and Puma owners, particularly after windscreen replacements.

Ford ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Ford

Yes. Ford mounts the forward-facing radar behind the front grille emblem. Any bumper removal – even for a minor repair – can shift the sensor alignment. Pre-Collision Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control won't function correctly until the radar is recalibrated.
