The G90 is Genesis's flagship – and carries the most advanced Smart Sense suite in the range, including a Driver Monitoring System with an infrared camera facing the driver. This cabin-facing sensor is a separate calibration point from the external ADAS cameras and radar, adding a layer of complexity that most workshops do not account for. After steering column work, dashboard repairs, or a front-end collision, the G90 may need both external and internal sensor calibration.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Genesis G90
The DMS uses an infrared camera on the steering column to monitor driver attention and head position. It is required for HDA II compliance — if the DMS cannot detect the driver's focus, HDA II will issue warnings and eventually disengage. If this camera is misaligned, the system may falsely warn or fail to activate.
