The Honda HR-V mounts its Honda SENSING camera behind a compact windscreen section near the rearview mirror – and the millimeter wave radar behind the front grille sits lower than on the larger CR-V. This combination means both sensors are affected by the two most common triggers: windscreen replacement disturbs the camera, and front-end repair displaces the radar. If either warning has appeared on your HR-V after recent work, the affected sensor needs professional recalibration.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Honda HR-V
LaneWatch is a camera mounted on the passenger-side mirror that shows your blind spot on the dashboard screen — it's a visual aid, not an ADAS system. Honda SENSING is the safety suite (ACC, CMBS, LKAS) that uses the front radar and windscreen camera. On 2nd-gen HR-Vs (2015-2021), both may be fitted. On the 3rd-gen (2021+), LaneWatch is replaced by BSI radar-based blind spot monitoring, which IS part of the ADAS suite and does require calibration after mirror or rear bumper work.
