Infiniti QX30 ADAS Calibration

The QX30 is the crossover sibling of the Q30 – same Mercedes MFA platform, same Nissan-derived ADAS hardware, slightly higher ride height. That raised stance changes the front radar and camera calibration reference angles compared to the Q30 hatchback. If your QX30's Forward Emergency Braking or ICC went offline after a repair, the calibration must account for the crossover's specific geometry.

ADAS Systems on Your Infiniti QX30

The QX30 (2016–2020) shares its ADAS suite with the Q30:

  • Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) – standard AEB using front radar and windscreen camera
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) – radar-based adaptive cruise, front radar behind the grille
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) – rear bumper corner sensors detect vehicles in adjacent lanes
  • Around View Monitor (AVM) – four-camera bird's-eye parking view
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when crossing lane markings

The QX30's higher ground clearance compared to the Q30 means the front radar sits at a slightly different height relative to the road surface. Calibration targets must reflect this – applying Q30 calibration data to a QX30 (or vice versa) can produce inaccurate sensor alignment.

Common QX30 ADAS Triggers

After Bumper or Grille Repair

The QX30's crossover stance puts the front bumper at a different contact height than a standard saloon. Car park bollard strikes are common, and each can shift the grille-mounted radar powering ICC and FEB. If cruise control became unavailable after bodywork, radar recalibration is needed.

After Windscreen Replacement

FEB and Lane Departure Warning depend on the windscreen-mounted camera. Every glass replacement requires recalibration – our windscreen calibration handles it at £199. Most windscreen fitters have never worked on an Infiniti, making this step easy to skip.

Orphaned Brand Challenges

The QX30 shares the Q30's challenge – an orphaned brand with no UK dealer network since 2020. Our technicians calibrate the Nissan-derived hardware using the same equipment and procedures, with no dealership needed. See all Infiniti models

Infiniti QX30 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Infiniti QX30

The ADAS hardware is identical — same Nissan-derived sensors and Safety Shield suite. However, the QX30's higher ride height means calibration reference angles differ from the Q30 hatchback. Each model requires its own calibration targets.
