ADAS Calibration for Jeep models

Jeep built its reputation on going anywhere - but modern Jeeps carry serious driver assistance technology that needs precision calibration to function. The Grand Cherokee packs up to 12 sensors including Night Vision, while the Avenger shares its entire ADAS platform with Peugeot and Vauxhall. Trail damage, body repairs, or a simple windscreen replacement can knock any of these systems out of alignment. ADAS Line calibrates every Jeep ADAS system across all platforms, from £199.

Jeep ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Jeep model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Jeep model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Jeep ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Jeep vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Jeep with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Jeep ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Jeep models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Jeep, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Jeep ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Jeep uses two generations of ADAS branding - older models show FCA-era names like LaneSense and ParkSense on the dashboard, while newer models use Stellantis-shared terminology. Both appear in the UK parc, and we calibrate all of them:

  • Active Driving Assist / LaneSense - Jeep's lane keeping and lane departure system. Called LaneSense on Renegade and Compass, Active Driving Assist on Grand Cherokee WL. Camera-based, mounted behind the windscreen.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go - Radar-based cruise control that brakes and accelerates in traffic. Uses the front radar sensor behind the bumper.
  • Full Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking - Jeep's automatic emergency braking. Combines camera and radar data to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring - Radar sensors in the rear bumper corners detecting vehicles in adjacent lanes.
  • Rear Cross Path Detection - Alerts when reversing out of a parking space with cross-traffic approaching. Uses the same rear radar hardware as BSM.
  • Night Vision Camera - Infrared camera on the Grand Cherokee detecting pedestrians and animals up to 200 metres ahead. One of very few vehicles in the UK with this technology - requires specialist calibration.
  • ParkSense - Ultrasonic parking sensors and automated parking. Dashboard warnings show "ParkSense unavailable" when sensors need recalibration.
  • Intersection Collision Assist - Grand Cherokee exclusive. Detects cross-traffic at junctions using multiple radar sensors.

What Triggers Jeep ADAS Faults

After off-road use or trail damage: This is where Jeep differs from every other make we service. Wrangler and Grand Cherokee owners regularly encounter sensor misalignment from trail impacts, underbody strikes, or brush damage to bumper-mounted radar. A Collision Calibration restores all affected systems.

After bumper repair or replacement: The front radar sensor sits behind the bumper on every Jeep model. Even minor parking damage or a bumper respray can shift alignment enough to trigger "ACC unavailable" or "Forward Collision Warning malfunction." Our Radar/Sensor Calibration (£349) resolves this.

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera handles LaneSense or Active Driving Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Intelligent Speed Assist. A new windscreen means recalibration is mandatory - this is our £199 Windscreen Calibration service. See our windscreen replacement ADAS guide for what to expect.

Dashboard warnings with Jeep-specific names: "LaneSense unavailable," "ParkSense malfunction," or "ADAS service required" - these use Jeep's own system names that many general garages won't recognise. Our diagnostic equipment reads all Jeep-specific fault codes across both FCA-era and Stellantis-era systems.

Jeep Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

We calibrate ADAS systems on 5 Jeep models sold in the UK. The Grand Cherokee is the most complex - up to 12 sensors including Night Vision and Intersection Collision Assist on the WL platform. The Avenger is becoming the most common Jeep on UK roads, running on the Stellantis CMP platform shared with Peugeot and Fiat models, meaning identical calibration procedures. The Renegade carries the FCA-era LaneSense suite and remains well represented in the UK parc despite production ending.

Jeep ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Jeep

If your Jeep has taken impacts to the front bumper, underbody, or rear quarters while off-road, the radar and camera sensors may have shifted. You won't always see a dashboard warning immediately – some Jeep ADAS faults only appear at highway speeds when the system activates. If you've had a hard trail day, a diagnostic check confirms whether recalibration is needed.
