ADAS Calibration for Fiat models

The Fiat Ducato was the first light commercial vehicle with Level 2 autonomous driving - Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist as standard on the Series 8. Body shops and fleet operators replacing bumpers on Ducatos need ADAS recalibration every time. And it's not just the van - the 500e and 600e carry full Level 2 ADAS suites that most people don't expect from a city car. ADAS Line calibrates every Fiat ADAS system, from £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

Fiat ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Fiat model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Fiat model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Fiat ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Fiat vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Fiat with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Fiat ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Fiat models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Fiat, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Fiat ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Fiat doesn't use a single ADAS brand name across its range - system names vary by model and generation. Here's what sits behind the dashboard warnings:

  • City Brake Control (CBC) - Low-speed automatic emergency braking using a laser sensor in the lower windscreen area. Fitted to the 500 (2016+ facelift), Panda (2016+), 500L, and early Tipo models. Won Euro NCAP's Advanced award in 2013. Laser-based - different calibration approach to camera systems.
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) - High-speed AEB using the forward-facing camera. Standard on 500e, 600e, and Ducato Series 8. Detects pedestrians and cyclists.
  • Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (iACC) - Radar and camera-based adaptive cruise with lane centring. Fitted to the 500e and 600e. Maintains speed, distance, and lane position simultaneously.
  • Lane Centering (LC) - Active steering to keep the vehicle centred in lane. Works with iACC on the 500e and 600e for Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) - Steers the Ducato back into lane if it drifts. Part of the Ducato's commercial-grade ADAS package.
  • Traffic Jam Assist - Ducato-specific system combining ACC with Stop & Go and Lane Keep Assist at low speeds. Designed for motorway queues and urban congestion.
  • Full Brake Control - The Ducato's commercial-grade AEB system. Works with radar behind the front bumper and windscreen camera.
  • Intelligent Speed Assistant (ISA) - Camera-based speed limit recognition. Mandatory on new UK vehicles from July 2024. Fitted to the 500e, 600e, and Ducato.
  • Urban Blind Spot - Detects vehicles and cyclists in adjacent lanes using rear sensors.

When Your Fiat Needs ADAS Recalibration

After Bumper Repair or Replacement

The Ducato's radar sensor sits behind the front bumper - and Ducatos see more bumper damage than most vehicles on the road. Fleet use, delivery routes, tight loading bays. After any bumper removal or replacement, the radar powering Full Brake Control and ACC with Stop & Go needs recalibration. The same applies to the 600e and 500X, where radar sensors sit behind the front fascia.

After Windscreen Replacement

The 500e's forward-facing camera is mounted behind the interior rearview mirror. It powers iACC, Lane Centering, AEB, and ISA - four systems from a single camera. After a windscreen replacement, all four need recalibration. The 600e and Ducato use the same windscreen camera position. This is our £199 Windscreen Calibration service.

Dashboard Warnings on Older Models

City Brake Control on the 500, Panda, and 500L uses a laser sensor rather than a camera. If CBC warnings appear after windscreen work on these models, the laser sensor needs realignment. Many garages don't realise Fiat used laser-based ADAS before switching to camera systems - we calibrate both.

Ducato Fleet Calibration

Fleet operators running Ducatos need a reliable calibration partner. Bumper repairs, windscreen swaps, and minor collisions are routine in commercial use. If your body shop handles Ducato repairs, we provide collision calibration at fixed pricing with a calibration certificate for each vehicle.

Fiat Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Ducato is our most common Fiat calibration - the UK's best-selling large van with the most advanced commercial ADAS on any LCV. The 500e carries surprisingly comprehensive Level 2 ADAS for a city car, with iACC and Lane Centering standard on higher trims. The Tipo sits between them as an affordable family car with AEB, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

We calibrate ADAS systems on 8 Fiat models, covering three distinct platform types - the dedicated 500e BEV platform, the eCMP2 platform (600e, shared with Peugeot 2008 and Vauxhall Mokka), and the SEVEL commercial platform (Ducato).

Fiat ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Fiat

Yes. The 500e's forward-facing camera behind the rearview mirror controls iACC, Lane Centering, AEB, and ISA. After any windscreen replacement, all four systems need recalibration. This is our £199 Windscreen Calibration – the camera must be precisely aimed for accurate lane centring and speed sign recognition.
