Is the RC the same platform as the GS?

Does the RC F have different ADAS from the standard RC?

The RC F may have additional driving aids, but the core ADAS — PCS, LDA — uses the same sensor hardware. The RC F's wider body and different front bumper design may affect radar calibration target positioning. Our technicians account for variant-specific differences.

Is the RC discontinued?

Yes — the RC is no longer in production. The LC continues as Lexus's coupe offering. But RC models remain on UK roads, and ADAS calibration is needed after any front-end repair on LSS+-equipped cars. We also calibrate the IS and ES.

Lexus RC ADAS Calibration

The RC is Lexus's luxury coupe – discontinued but still driven on UK roads, particularly the RC F performance variant. Late-production RC models came with basic Lexus Safety System+ including Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert. The RC's low, aggressive front end makes the front radar behind the grille susceptible to speed bump and kerb damage. If PCS warnings appeared after bodywork on your RC, the radar needs recalibrating.

ADAS Systems on Your Lexus RC

The RC used the N platform (shared with the GS):

Pre-Collision System (PCS) – available on later models with basic LSS+. Front radar and windscreen camera.
Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – windscreen camera on equipped trims.
Adaptive Cruise Control – available on higher trims.
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – rear bumper corner sensors on equipped trims.

The RC had limited ADAS. It was a sports coupe where driving dynamics took priority over driver assistance. ADAS fitment was trim-dependent – the F Sport and RC F variants were more likely to have LSS+ features than base models.

The RC's low ride height positions the front radar closer to ground-level hazards, similar to the LC grand tourer.

After Front Bumper or Splitter Damage

The RC sits low – front bumper and splitter contact with speed bumps, ramps, and kerbs is common, especially on the RC F with its wider, lower stance. If the bumper was repaired and the RC has PCS, the radar needs recalibration.

After Windscreen Replacement

RC models with LDA have a windscreen camera that requires recalibration after windscreen replacement.

Confirming Your RC Has ADAS
