Lotus Emira ADAS Calibration

Not every Lotus Emira has ADAS. The V6 First Edition shipped without any driver assistance hardware – no camera, no radar, nothing to calibrate. Later production Emiras added an optional Co-Driver Pack with Anti-Collision System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning. If your Emira has these systems and has had windscreen or bumper work, the sensors need recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Lotus Emira

The Emira's ADAS is basic compared to the Eletre and Emeya. If your car has the optional Co-Driver Pack, it includes:

  • Anti-Collision System (AEB) – forward collision detection and automatic braking
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based speed and distance management
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – alerts when drifting across lane markings
  • Lane Change Assist – monitors adjacent lanes during lane changes
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – warns when reversing into cross traffic
  • Door Opening Warning (DOW) – alerts to approaching traffic before opening doors
  • Fatigue Alert – monitors driving patterns for signs of tiredness
  • Road Sign Information – camera-based speed sign recognition

The forward camera sits behind the windscreen. The front radar is near the front numberplate area. No LiDAR, no surround-view cameras on the base model, no 360-degree system.

Important: The V6 First Edition has no ADAS hardware at all. If you bought a used Emira, check whether your specific car has the Co-Driver Pack before booking calibration.

When Your Lotus Emira Needs Recalibration

After Windscreen Replacement

If your Emira has the Co-Driver Pack, the forward camera behind the windscreen powers AEB, LDW, and Road Sign Information. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration.

After Bumper Repair

The front radar near the numberplate powers ACC and contributes to AEB. A front-end repair, even cosmetic bumper removal for a respray, can shift the radar. If ACC stopped working after bodywork, radar recalibration restores it.

Not Sure If Your Emira Has ADAS?

Contact us with your registration or VIN and we will confirm whether your Emira has the Co-Driver Pack fitted. If it does not, there is nothing to calibrate.

Lotus Emira Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The Emira's simpler ADAS typically needs either a £199 windscreen calibration or a £349 radar calibration – straightforward compared to the Eletre's deployable LiDAR.
