Mercedes EQA ADAS Calibration

Picked up your Mercedes EQA from a body shop and Active Brake Assist is flashing warnings? The EQA is built on the EVA platform – the same electric architecture as the EQB – with the full Intelligent Drive suite and a front radar behind the star badge. When collision repair or a windscreen replacement disturbs those sensors, every connected safety system goes down until properly recalibrated.

ADAS Systems on the Mercedes EQA

The EQA (H243, 2021+) shares the EVA compact electric platform with the EQB. Despite its smaller crossover body, the EQA carries the same full ADAS configuration:

  • DISTRONIC – adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, integrating with the EQA's regenerative braking for efficient electric driving.
  • Active Brake Assist – automatic emergency braking via front radar and multifunction camera.
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – camera-based lane detection with steering correction.
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear-mounted radar sensors. Standard on Progressive and AMG Line trims.
  • PRE-SAFE – pre-collision occupant protection.
  • Active Parking Assist (PARKTRONIC) – ultrasonic sensors standard. 360-degree camera on higher trims.
  • Traffic Sign Assist – speed limit recognition via the multifunction camera.

The EQA's front radar sits behind the star badge – identical placement to models like the C-Class and GLC. The multifunction camera behind the windscreen handles lane keeping, traffic signs, and high beams simultaneously.

When Your EQA Needs ADAS Calibration

After Collision Repair

The EQA's compact crossover body makes it common in urban driving – and urban driving means more low-speed bumper impacts. Front-end damage shifts the radar behind the star badge. Because EV repairs go through specialist body shops, ADAS recalibration is sometimes missed. Our mobile calibration service can meet the body shop on-site.

Windscreen Replacement

The EQA's multifunction camera handles three systems at once – Active Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, and automatic high beams. After windscreen replacement, all three need recalibrating. The EQB uses the same camera setup, so the calibration procedure is well-established in our network.

Post-Purchase ADAS Checks

Pre-owned EQA buyers sometimes discover ADAS faults not flagged during handover – DISTRONIC unavailable or Active Brake Assist warnings without an obvious trigger. If sensors were disturbed during pre-sale bodywork, recalibration resolves it.

Mercedes EQA ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Mercedes EQA

No. The EQA and EQB share the same EVA platform, identical radar hardware, and the same multifunction camera. The calibration procedure is the same — the EQA's smaller crossover body doesn't change sensor positions or alignment requirements.
