Mercedes EQC ADAS Calibration

DISTRONIC has disabled on your Mercedes EQC and the dashboard shows a radar sensor warning. The EQC was Mercedes's first fully electric SUV – built on a modified GLC platform with the same ADAS hardware as its combustion sibling. The radar sits behind the front grille star badge, and the multifunction camera behind the windscreen controls three safety systems simultaneously. When either sensor is displaced during repair, multiple systems go down at once.

ADAS Systems on the Mercedes EQC

The EQC (N293, 2019–2023) shares its modified GLC platform with the combustion GLC, carrying the same ADAS sensor suite:

  • DISTRONIC – adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. The radar sits behind the front star badge, same position as on the GLC.
  • Active Brake Assist – automatic emergency braking using front radar and multifunction camera together.
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – camera-based lane detection with active steering correction. Standard on all EQC variants.
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear-mounted radar sensors monitoring adjacent lanes. Standard on all trims.
  • PRE-SAFE – pre-collision occupant protection.
  • Traffic Sign Assist – speed limit recognition via the multifunction camera.
  • Active Parking Assist (PARKTRONIC) – ultrasonic sensors for automated parking guidance.

The EQC's front end is sealed and aerodynamic – no traditional grille openings. The radar sits behind the star badge on a smooth panel, similar to the EQA and EQB. This sealed design means bodywork in the front fascia area always risks disturbing the radar sensor.

Common Mercedes EQC ADAS Faults

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Repair

The EQC's smooth front fascia integrates the radar behind the star badge. Any collision or bumper repair that disturbs this area shifts the radar alignment. If DISTRONIC and Active Brake Assist both disable after bodywork, the radar needs professional recalibration – not just an error code reset.

After Windscreen Replacement

The multifunction camera handles Active Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, and automatic high beams. Mercedes uses a single camera for all three, so windscreen replacement triggers warnings across multiple systems. The EQC's large windscreen area makes replacement relatively common after stone damage.

Post-Collision Multi-System Shutdown

A significant front impact on the EQC can displace both the radar and the camera mount point, shutting down DISTRONIC, Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Traffic Sign Assist simultaneously. Our collision calibration addresses both sensors, or a full system reset covers the entire ADAS suite.

Mercedes EQC Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

EQC owners after bumper repair typically need our £349 Radar/Sensor Calibration to restore DISTRONIC and Active Brake Assist. If the windscreen was also replaced during the same repair, camera calibration at £199 is added separately.

Mercedes EQC ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Mercedes EQC

The EQC and GLC share the same modified platform and identical ADAS sensor hardware. Radar, multifunction camera, and ultrasonic sensor positions are the same. Calibration procedures are functionally identical — the electric drivetrain has no impact on ADAS calibration.
