Omoda 5 ADAS Calibration

The Omoda 5 is the model that introduced Chery to the UK market – a compact SUV with AEB, ACC, Blind Spot Monitoring, and 360° Panoramic View across both Comfort and Noble trims. It uses generic ADAS system names, which can lead body shops to assume standard calibration procedures apply. They do not – the Chery T2X platform has its own calibration targets and diagnostic requirements that differ from any European manufacturer.

ADAS Systems on Your Omoda 5

The Omoda 5 (2024+) sits on Chery's T2X platform:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – automatic braking with car-to-car and vulnerable road user detection
  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW) – visual and audible pre-collision alert
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based speed and distance management
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – corrective steering when drifting
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible lane departure alert
  • Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) – rear-quarter sensors for adjacent lane detection
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – reversing cross-traffic detection
  • 360° Panoramic View – surround-view camera system for parking
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based speed limit detection

The front camera is behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is in the front bumper. BSM sensors sit in the rear bumper corners. 360° cameras are distributed around the body panels – front, rear, and both sides.

Common Omoda 5 ADAS Triggers

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Repair

The front radar powers AEB and ACC. Body shops repairing the Omoda 5's front end may complete the cosmetic work without realising the Chery platform requires specific radar recalibration procedures. If ACC stopped working after a repair, the radar needs attention.

After Windscreen Replacement

AEB, LKA, LDW, and TSR all depend on the windscreen camera. Replacing the glass means recalibrating this camera – if your glazier couldn't complete the ADAS step, our windscreen calibration at £199 finishes the job.

360° Panoramic View After Panel Work

The surround-view system uses cameras mounted around the body. Panel repairs, wing mirror replacements, or rear bumper work can shift any of these camera positions, producing distorted parking views. See all Omoda models

Omoda 5 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Omoda 5

Yes — the Omoda 5 and C5 refer to the same vehicle. Omoda uses both naming conventions in different markets. The ADAS hardware and calibration procedures are identical regardless of which name appears on the badge.
