Omoda E5 ADAS Calibration

The Omoda E5 packs 18 ADAS functions into a fully electric SUV that costs less than many premium hatchbacks – and every single one of those functions depends on correctly calibrated sensors. Four AEB detection modes, Emergency Lane Keeping, ACC, and a 360° Panoramic View system all rely on the front radar, windscreen camera, and body-mounted sensors working in precise alignment. After any collision or repair, this is not a vehicle where ADAS calibration can be skipped.

ADAS Systems on Your Omoda E5

The E5 (2025+) sits on Chery's dedicated EV platform with the fullest ADAS 4.0 specification:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – four detection modes: car-to-car, vulnerable road user, junction assist, and backover detection
  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW) – pre-collision alert before AEB activation
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based speed and distance management
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – corrective steering when drifting
  • Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) – automatic steering correction to prevent run-off-road or head-on scenarios
  • Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) – rear-quarter sensors for adjacent lane detection
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – cross-traffic warning when reversing
  • 360° Panoramic View – three-dimensional surround-view parking system
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based sign detection
  • Speed Assistance System (SAS) – intelligent speed adaptation
  • Automatic High/Low Beam Switching – camera-triggered beam adjustment
  • Driver Fatigue Monitoring – steering-pattern tiredness detection

The E5's EV-specific platform positions the front radar in the bumper, the camera at the windscreen top, BSM sensors in the rear corners, and 360° cameras around the body panels.

Why Your Omoda E5 Needs ADAS Calibration

After Any Collision

With 18 ADAS functions depending on multiple sensor points, even a minor collision can affect several systems simultaneously. The E5's four-mode AEB alone requires both the front radar and windscreen camera to be precisely aligned – a front-end impact can disable all four AEB modes at once.

After Windscreen Replacement

AEB, LKA, ELK, TSR, SAS, and automatic beam switching all depend on the windscreen camera. Every glass replacement requires recalibration. ELK is a Euro NCAP-driven feature that provides life-saving steering correction – if the camera is misaligned, ELK may not activate in a genuine emergency. Our windscreen calibration at £199 ensures all camera-dependent systems are restored.

360° Panoramic View After Body Panel Work

The E5's surround-view system uses cameras mounted around the body panels. Any panel repair – a scraped side, replaced bumper corner, or mirror swap – can shift a camera position. Distorted parking views mean at least one camera needs recalibration. See all Omoda models
