Omoda 7 ADAS Calibration

The Omoda 7 is Chery's mid-size SUV for the UK market – sitting above the Omoda 5 with a larger body and expanded ADAS specification. Built on a Chery platform with ADAS 4.0 technology, it carries AEB, ACC, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring as standard. As a newer and larger model, the Omoda 7 has more sensor positions spread across a bigger vehicle footprint – meaning collision repairs are more likely to affect multiple calibration points.

ADAS Systems on Your Omoda 7

The Omoda 7 uses Chery's ADAS 4.0 platform:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – automatic braking with car-to-car and vulnerable road user detection
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based speed and distance management
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – corrective steering when drifting without indicating
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when crossing lane markings
  • Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) – rear-quarter sensors for adjacent lane detection
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – cross-traffic detection when reversing
  • 360° Panoramic View – surround-view camera system
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based speed limit detection
  • Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) – automatic steering correction to prevent run-off-road events

The front camera is behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is in the front bumper. BSM sensors sit in the rear bumper quarters. The 7's larger body distributes surround-view cameras further apart than the compact 5.

When Your Omoda 7 Needs ADAS Calibration

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Repair

The Omoda 7's larger front end houses the radar powering AEB and ACC. Any repair involving bumper removal shifts this sensor. Body shops unfamiliar with Chery's platform may not realise that standard-sounding AEB requires Chery-specific recalibration procedures.

After Windscreen Replacement

AEB, LKA, ELK, and TSR all depend on the windscreen camera. The Omoda 7's larger windscreen area compared to the Omoda 5 does not change the calibration requirement – every glass replacement needs camera recalibration. Our windscreen calibration at £199 covers this.

SUV Size Means More Body Shop Visits

The Omoda 7's mid-size SUV dimensions put it in the category of vehicles that see more parking damage and tight-space encounters. Each contact near a sensor position is a potential calibration trigger. See all Omoda models

Omoda 7 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Omoda 7

Both use Chery's ADAS 4.0 technology, though the Omoda 7 sits on a larger chassis. Calibration procedures follow the same Chery diagnostic protocols, and our experience across the Omoda and Jaecoo ranges applies directly.
