Peugeot 308 ADAS Calibration

The latest Peugeot 308 (2021+) arrived with the most advanced version of Drive Assist fitted to any Peugeot hatchback – including semi-autonomous driving assistance that combines ACC, Lane Keeping, and traffic sign recognition into a coordinated system. When one sensor in that chain loses calibration, the entire suite can shut down. If your 308's dashboard is showing Drive Assist warnings after a repair, the sensors need recalibrating before the systems will re-engage.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot 308

The 308 sits between two distinct generations:

Second generation (T9, 2013–2021):

  • Basic Active Safety Brake (camera only, no radar on most trims)
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Speed sign recognition
  • Limited calibration needs – mainly windscreen camera after glass replacement

Third generation (P51, 2021+):

  • Active Safety Brake with radar + camera fusion – detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar behind the front bumper, standard on Allure and above
  • Semi-Autonomous Drive Assist 2.0 – combines ACC, Lane Keeping, and automated lane centering. This coordinated system is more sensitive to calibration drift than standalone systems
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear quarter panel radar sensors
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of crossing traffic when reversing
  • Extended Traffic Sign Recognition – camera-based, speed and road sign detection

The P51 uses the EMP2 platform – a step up from the CMP in the 208 and 2008. The EMP2's sensor integration is more complex, with tighter tolerances between radar and camera alignment.

Common Issues – Peugeot 308 ADAS Faults

Drive Assist 2.0 deactivation

The 308's semi-autonomous driving system coordinates multiple sensors simultaneously. If the front radar shifts by even a fraction after a bumper repair, the system cannot maintain safe lane centering – and the entire Drive Assist 2.0 package deactivates. A single radar recalibration typically restores the full suite.

After windscreen replacement

Like all Peugeot models with i-Cockpit, the 308's windscreen camera sits behind the rearview mirror. Windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration to restore Lane Keeping, traffic sign recognition, and the camera element of Active Safety Brake. Our windscreen replacement guide explains the process.

T9 vs P51 – different calibration requirements

If your 308 is the T9 generation (2013–2021), it has fewer sensors and simpler calibration needs – typically just the windscreen camera. The P51 (2021+) may need radar, camera, and blind spot sensor calibration after a single collision event, making the Full System Reset the more cost-effective option.

Peugeot 308 Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

Older T9 308 owners usually need windscreen calibration only – £199. Newer P51 owners with Drive Assist 2.0 faults after a collision often benefit from the £499 Full System Reset to recalibrate every sensor in one visit.

Peugeot 308 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot 308

Drive Assist 2.0 is Peugeot's semi-autonomous driving package on the P51 (2021+) 308. It combines Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and automated lane centering into a single coordinated system. All components must be calibrated to work together — if one sensor drifts, the entire package deactivates.
