Peugeot Boxer ADAS Calibration

Fleet managers know the Peugeot Boxer takes a beating – motorway miles, loading bay scrapes, and reversing incidents are part of daily commercial life. The current Boxer (2020+ facelift) carries Active Safety Brake and Lane Departure Warning as standard, and these systems rely on sensors that shift during the panel repairs large vans accumulate. The Boxer shares its SEVEL platform with the Fiat Ducato and Citroen Relay. If your Boxer's ADAS warnings appeared after bodywork, ADAS Line gets it back on the road.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot Boxer

The Boxer is built on the SEVEL platform – a joint venture architecture shared with the Fiat Ducato and Citroen Relay. ADAS availability depends on the model year:

Pre-2020 Boxer: No calibratable ADAS systems. Basic stability control and parking sensors only.

2020+ Boxer (facelifted):

  • Active Safety Brake – windscreen camera-based AEB. Standard across all variants including panel van, chassis cab, and motorhome base.
  • Lane Departure Warning – windscreen camera monitors lane markings. Standard on most trims.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control – available on higher-spec variants. Radar behind the front bumper panel.
  • Rear Parking Camera – single rear camera on some trims.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – available on passenger-carrying variants.

The Boxer's large, flat front face exposes the bumper-mounted radar to a wider impact area than passenger cars. The windscreen camera sits high in a position specific to the SEVEL cab design.

Why the Peugeot Boxer Needs Calibration Frequently

Commercial vehicle damage patterns

Large vans sustain bumper damage at a higher rate than cars. Loading bays, tight industrial estates, and motorway debris all contribute. Every front bumper repair on a 2020+ Boxer requires radar recalibration to restore ACC and Active Safety Brake.

Windscreen replacement

The Boxer covers serious mileage and the large, upright windscreen takes frequent stone chip damage. Each replacement requires the camera behind the windscreen to be recalibrated – restoring Active Safety Brake and Lane Departure Warning.

Motorhome conversions

The Boxer is one of the UK's most popular motorhome base vehicles. Conversion work often involves front bumper modifications or bodywork near sensor locations. If ADAS warnings appeared after a conversion, the sensors likely need recalibrating at workshops across the UK.

Fleet return and lease compliance

Lease companies increasingly check ADAS functionality at vehicle return. A Boxer with outstanding ADAS faults will trigger end-of-lease charges. Our calibration certificate provides documented proof of compliance.

Most Boxer owners need radar calibration after front bumper work – that's our fixed £349 rate. Fleet operators running Boxers alongside Fiat Ducatos or Citroen Relays can book all three through the same workshop.

Peugeot Boxer ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot Boxer

Only 2020+ facelifted Boxers have calibratable ADAS systems. If your Boxer is pre-2020, it has basic stability control and parking sensors but no Active Safety Brake or Lane Departure Warning. Check your dashboard — if you see ADAS-related warning symbols, your Boxer has the systems fitted.
