Peugeot Expert ADAS Calibration

If you run a Peugeot Expert as a work van, downtime costs money – and an ADAS fault after a bumper repair is downtime you didn't plan for. The Expert (2016+) carries Active Safety Brake and available Adaptive Cruise Control that depend on calibrated sensors behind the front bumper and windscreen. When a body shop finishes the panel work but can't clear the ADAS warnings, ADAS Line completes the calibration at 70+ UK workshops with fixed pricing and no surprises.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot Expert

The Expert (2016+, EMP2 platform) shares its commercial vehicle architecture with the Citroen Dispatch and Vauxhall Vivaro – same Stellantis sensor platform, Peugeot-specific software.

Standard across all 2016+ variants:

  • Active Safety Brake – windscreen camera AEB with vehicle detection. Standard on all panel van, crew cab, and platform cab variants.
  • Lane Departure Warning – windscreen camera monitors lane markings at speed.
  • Driver Attention Alert – monitors steering patterns during long motorway journeys.

Available on higher trims (Professional+, Asphalt):

  • Adaptive Cruise Control – radar behind the front bumper panel.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear quarter radar sensors, particularly useful given the Expert's large blind spots.
  • Rear Parking Camera – single rear camera for loading bay manoeuvring.

The Expert's larger body compared to the Partner means more sensor surface area exposed to commercial use damage. The flat, upright front panel places the radar in a vulnerable position for loading bay and car park impacts.

Peugeot Expert – Common ADAS Calibration Triggers

Loading bay and depot impacts

The Expert's primary working environment – delivery depots, building sites, narrow access routes – generates frequent low-speed front and rear impacts. The bumper-mounted radar is sensitive to displacement, and even a minor panel push from a bollard or loading dock can shift alignment enough to trigger Active Safety Brake and ACC faults.

Windscreen damage from motorway mileage

Experts used for long-distance delivery or tradesperson travel accumulate windscreen damage rapidly. Each windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration. Glass companies that fit the replacement often can't complete the ADAS calibration step, leaving Lane Departure Warning and Active Safety Brake offline.

Post-accident return to service

Commercial insurers increasingly require documented ADAS calibration before signing off a repaired vehicle as roadworthy. If your Expert has been through a collision repair, our calibration certificate confirms all systems are functioning within manufacturer specifications – critical for fleet compliance and insurance documentation. See our ADAS error codes guide for common fault messages.

Peugeot Expert ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot Expert

Yes — both share the Stellantis commercial platform with identical sensor hardware and positions. The Expert and Dispatch use the same radar and camera modules, but Peugeot-specific software means calibration requires Peugeot diagnostic protocols. We handle both brands.
