Porsche Cayenne ADAS Calibration

The Porsche Cayenne carries the most complex ADAS suite of any Porsche – InnoDrive predictive cruise control, Night Vision Assist with thermal imaging, Surround View cameras, Lane Change Assist, and the full Porsche Active Safe system. Up to five distinct sensor types sit behind bumpers, windscreen, mirrors, and body panels. After a front-end collision or bumper replacement, multiple sensors need recalibration simultaneously – and each one has its own procedure.

ADAS Systems on Your Porsche Cayenne

The Cayenne (PO536, 2018+) runs on the MLB Evo platform shared with Audi Q7, Q8, and Bentley Bentayga:

  • Porsche InnoDrive – Predictive adaptive cruise using navigation data, road topology, and speed limits to adjust speed proactively. Requires both front radar and camera to be precisely aligned.
  • Porsche Active Safe – AEB with pedestrian detection via radar and camera fusion
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) – Windscreen camera behind the rearview mirror
  • Lane Change Assist – Rear corner radar sensors in the bumper for blind spot monitoring
  • Night Vision Assist – Thermal imaging camera in the front bumper detecting pedestrians and animals beyond headlight range. Separate calibration procedure from radar and camera.
  • Surround View – Multiple cameras (front, rear, side mirrors) creating a 360° bird's-eye view
  • ParkAssist – Ultrasonic parking sensors front and rear
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – Camera-based, feeding InnoDrive and HUD
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert – Rear bumper sensors warning of cross-traffic when reversing

The Cayenne can have front radar, windscreen camera, corner radars, surround-view cameras, ultrasonic sensors, AND a thermal Night Vision camera – five sensor types requiring calibration after major bodywork.

Why Your Cayenne Needs ADAS Calibration

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Replacement

The front radar behind the lower grille powers InnoDrive, ACC, and Porsche Active Safe. A bumper replacement shifts this radar. On the Cayenne, the Night Vision thermal camera also sits in the front bumper – a single front-end repair can displace two distinct sensors requiring separate calibration procedures.

After Windscreen Replacement

The windscreen camera powers LKA, TSR, and contributes to InnoDrive and Active Safe. Our £199 Windscreen Calibration restores all camera-dependent systems.

Multi-Sensor Complexity After Major Bodywork

The Cayenne's SUV proportions make it vulnerable to car park impacts, barrier strikes, and off-road encounters. After significant bodywork, a Full System Reset (£499) calibrates all sensor types – radar, camera, Night Vision, Surround View, and ParkAssist – in one appointment.

Porsche Cayenne Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The Cayenne's multi-sensor architecture means a Full System Reset at £499 is the most common choice after collision repair. For straightforward windscreen work, it's £199. Radar-only calibration after minor bumper work is £349. See all Porsche models we calibrate

Porsche Cayenne ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Porsche Cayenne

The Cayenne and Audi Q7 share the MLB Evo platform with similar sensor mounting positions. Calibration procedures overlap, and our technicians use VW Group platform expertise across both. However, Porsche uses InnoDrive and Night Vision — features not available on the Q7 — which require Porsche-specific calibration targets.
