SEAT Alhambra ADAS Calibration

The SEAT Alhambra is a seven-seat MPV that shares its platform with the Volkswagen Sharan – same VW Group engineering, same radar and camera hardware, same calibration procedures. If your Alhambra's Front Assist or ACC has gone inactive after a bumper repair, the radar behind the SEAT badge on the front grille needs the same recalibration we perform on VW Group vehicles every day. From £199 at 70+ UK workshops.

ADAS Systems on the SEAT Alhambra

The Alhambra (7N, 2010–2020) received ADAS features from its 2015 facelift onwards:

Pre-facelift (2010–2015): Minimal ADAS. Parking sensors and a reversing camera were the main driver aids. Front Assist was not available.

Facelift (2015–2020): Front Assist with City Emergency Braking became available on SE Technology and above. ACC optional on Xcellence trim. Lane Assist via windscreen camera was offered as part of the Driver Assistance Pack. The front radar sits behind the SEAT emblem on the grille – the standard VW Group position.

Alhambra-specific detail: The Alhambra's taller, more upright front end positions the radar sensor higher than on the Leon or Ibiza. This makes the sensor less vulnerable to low-speed parking damage but more exposed to motorway debris impacts. The larger windscreen also means a bigger camera housing behind the rearview mirror, which affects glass availability and replacement complexity.

Common Alhambra ADAS Triggers

Windscreen replacement on a large MPV: The Alhambra's windscreen is one of the largest in the SEAT range. Stone chip damage on motorways is common for a vehicle that spends most of its miles on fast roads with a full family on board. After windscreen replacement, the camera behind the rearview mirror needs static recalibration – many windscreen fitters struggle with SEAT-specific camera setups.

Front bumper repairs after family-car incidents: Alhambra owners often encounter bumper damage in car parks, school drop-offs, and supermarket runs. The front bumper on the Alhambra is larger than other SEATs, and removal for paintwork or damage repair shifts the radar behind the grille badge. Front Assist and ACC both deactivate until recalibrated.

End-of-production considerations: The Alhambra was discontinued in 2020 with no direct replacement. As these vehicles age and enter the used market, previous repairs without ADAS recalibration become more likely. If your purchased Alhambra's ACC or Front Assist won't engage, a diagnostic scan will confirm whether recalibration is needed.

SEAT Alhambra ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the SEAT Alhambra

Yes. The Alhambra and Sharan are built on the same platform with identical ADAS hardware. The radar position, camera module, and calibration procedures are the same. Our technicians calibrate both using VW Group diagnostic equipment. See all SEAT models we calibrate.
