SEAT Ibiza ADAS Calibration

"Front Assist not available" on your SEAT Ibiza's dashboard – and you're not sure what triggered it. The Ibiza runs on VW Group's MQB A0 platform, which means error codes like C110300 and C110b54 are the same faults we resolve daily on Volkswagen and Škoda models. Your Ibiza's radar and camera systems are VW Group hardware, calibrated with the same OEM-grade equipment at 70+ UK workshops.

ADAS Systems on the SEAT Ibiza

The current Ibiza (KJ, 2017+) introduced ADAS features to SEAT's supermini range for the first time:

Ibiza MK5 (KJ, 2017+):

  • Front Assist with City Emergency Braking – standard from launch
  • ACC – optional on Xcellence and FR trims. Uses the front radar behind the SEAT grille badge
  • Lane Assist – optional, windscreen camera-based
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – camera-dependent, available on higher trims
  • High Beam Assist – automatic dipping, camera-based

Pre-2017 Ibiza models (6J, 6P) do not have ADAS systems that require calibration – they use simpler parking sensor setups only.

The Ibiza's ADAS sensor count is smaller than the Leon or Ateca – typically just front radar and windscreen camera, without Side Assist or Travel Assist. This means most Ibiza calibrations are single-sensor jobs: either the radar or the camera, rarely both.

Common Ibiza ADAS Triggers

Bumper Repair on the MK5

The Ibiza MK5's radar sits behind the SEAT badge on a compact front grille. The sensor is positioned lower than on SUV models like the Arona, putting it directly in line with standard car park barrier height. Bumper replacement, paintwork that requires bumper removal, or any front-end contact can shift the radar alignment.

After Windscreen Replacement

If your Ibiza has Lane Assist, the windscreen camera requires recalibration after any windscreen swap. The Ibiza's smaller windscreen means the camera housing tolerance is tighter – even a minor positional change can disable Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Warning Lights After Purchase

Ibiza MK5s are popular on the second-hand market. If you've bought an Ibiza with persistent Front Assist or ACC warnings that the previous owner couldn't explain, the most likely cause is an unreported minor front-end repair that displaced the radar sensor. A diagnostic scan confirms whether calibration is needed.

SEAT Ibiza Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

Most Ibiza owners need either windscreen calibration at £199 or radar calibration at £349 – single-sensor jobs that take under two hours. The Ibiza's simpler ADAS layout means it rarely needs a Full System Reset.

SEAT Ibiza ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the SEAT Ibiza

Only the MK5 (2017 onwards). Earlier Ibiza models (6J, 6P) use basic parking sensors that don't require ADAS calibration. If your Ibiza is 2017 or newer and has Front Assist, ACC, or Lane Assist, calibration is needed after any sensor disruption. See all SEAT models we calibrate
