Suzuki Ignis ADAS Calibration

The Suzuki Ignis uses Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS) – a pair of stereo cameras behind the windscreen that detect vehicles ahead and trigger emergency braking. The Ignis was discontinued in the UK in 2025, but thousands remain on the road. Every windscreen replacement requires both cameras to be recalibrated as a pair – and most windscreen fitters can't do it.

ADAS Systems on Your Suzuki Ignis

The Ignis runs on Suzuki's HEARTECT platform with DCBS:

  • Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS) – Stereo camera pair behind the windscreen near the rearview mirror. Detects vehicles ahead and applies automatic emergency braking at speeds up to around 100 km/h.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – Camera-based lane monitoring, warns if the vehicle drifts without indicating
  • Weaving Alert – Suzuki's driver attention system, detecting erratic lane positioning
  • High Beam Assist (HBA) – Automatic high beam switching based on oncoming traffic detection

All four systems depend on the stereo cameras behind the windscreen. The Ignis does not have radar – there's no bumper-mounted sensor. All ADAS calibration on the Ignis relates to the windscreen camera pair.

The DCBS stereo camera concept is similar to Subaru's EyeSight system, though they are technically separate implementations.

When Your Suzuki Ignis Needs Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The DCBS stereo cameras must be recalibrated as a pair after glass replacement. If only one camera is adjusted, the stereo depth perception fails and DCBS won't function correctly. This is our £199 Windscreen Calibration service.

"Dual Camera Brake Support" Dashboard Warning

This warning indicates the DCBS system has lost calibration or detected a sensor fault. Common triggers: windscreen replacement, dirty or obstructed windscreen near the camera area, sensor misalignment from road vibration. The warning will not clear without professional recalibration.

Discontinued But Still Needs Servicing

The Ignis stopped UK sales in 2025, but calibration availability isn't affected. Our equipment covers DCBS across all Suzuki models – the same system is also used on older Swift models.

The Ignis only has windscreen-mounted cameras – no bumper radar. Most calibrations are our £199 Windscreen Calibration after glass replacement. No hidden fees, includes a diagnostic scan confirming DCBS is functioning. See all Suzuki models we calibrate

Suzuki Ignis ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Suzuki Ignis

Dual Camera Brake Support uses two cameras behind the windscreen to create stereo depth perception — measuring the distance to vehicles ahead and triggering emergency braking when a collision is imminent. It's Suzuki's original camera-based AEB system, distinct from DSBS (camera + laser) used on the Swift and Vitara.
