Toyota Proace City ADAS Calibration

The Proace City is not like any other Toyota on this page. While most Toyotas run Toyota Safety Sense, the Proace City is built by Stellantis on the same platform as the Peugeot Partner, Citroen Berlingo, and Vauxhall Combo. Its ADAS systems are Stellantis-engineered, not Toyota – which means calibration follows a completely different procedure to TSS-equipped models. Our technicians handle both systems. We recalibrate Proace City ADAS at 70+ UK workshops, from £199.

ADAS Systems on Your Toyota Proace City

The Proace City uses Stellantis ADAS architecture, not Toyota Safety Sense. Standard and available systems include:

  • Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking (equivalent to Toyota's PCS, but Stellantis-calibrated)
  • Lane Keeping Assist – camera-based lane departure prevention with steering correction
  • Speed Limit Recognition – camera reads road signs and displays on the instrument cluster
  • Driver Attention Alert – monitors steering patterns for signs of fatigue
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – available on higher trims, using radar in the rear bumper

The forward camera is windscreen-mounted behind the rearview mirror. Unlike TSS models, the Proace City does not use a front grille-mounted radar for its AEB system – Active Safety Brake relies primarily on the forward camera, with some variants adding a front radar module.

Key distinction: The Proace City shares its ADAS calibration requirements with the Peugeot Partner, Citroen Berlingo, and Vauxhall Combo – not with other Toyota models. If your workshop has calibrated a Partner, the Proace City follows the same procedure.

Common Proace City ADAS Calibration Triggers

After Windscreen Replacement

The Proace City's windscreen camera is the primary ADAS sensor. After glass replacement, Active Safety Brake, Lane Keeping Assist, and Speed Limit Recognition all need recalibration. Commercial vans pick up windscreen chips more frequently than passenger cars – fleet operators should factor camera calibration into every glass replacement.

After Front-End Collision

For variants with a front radar module, any bumper repair or front-end collision requires radar recalibration. Even on camera-only variants, a front-end impact can shift the windscreen camera mounting enough to trigger system faults.

Fleet and Commercial Use

The Proace City is a working van. Heavy daily use, loading bay bumps, and frequent windscreen replacements mean ADAS calibration comes up more often than on passenger cars. If your fleet's Proace City vehicles are showing warning lights after routine maintenance, the ADAS error codes guide explains common fault messages.

Toyota Proace City ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Toyota Proace City

No. The Proace City is built by Stellantis and uses Stellantis ADAS systems — Active Safety Brake, Lane Keeping Assist, and Speed Limit Recognition. These are different systems from the Toyota Safety Sense found on the RAV4, Corolla, and other Toyota models. Calibration procedures are Stellantis-specific, not Toyota-specific.
