Vauxhall Crossland X ADAS Calibration

The Crossland X was Vauxhall's first small crossover on a PSA platform – launched in 2017 and renamed to simply "Crossland" during the 2020 facelift. If you still have the original pre-facelift Crossland X and your AEB or Lane Departure Warning is showing faults after a repair, the forward camera behind the windscreen needs recalibrating.

ADAS on the Vauxhall Crossland X (2017-2020)

The Crossland X sits on the PSA PF1 platform shared with the Peugeot 2008 and Citroen C3 Aircross. Its ADAS suite is camera-led, with radar limited to top-spec trims:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – camera-based, available from mid-trim upward. Detects vehicles ahead and brakes if the driver doesn't respond.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when the forward camera detects unintentional lane drift without indicating.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – reads speed limit signs through the windscreen camera and displays them on the instrument cluster.
  • Driver Drowsiness Alert – monitors steering input patterns and suggests breaks on long journeys.

Unlike the post-facelift Crossland, the original Crossland X did not widely offer Lane Keep Assist (corrective steering) or Adaptive Cruise Control. Most Crossland X models rely entirely on the single forward camera behind the windscreen – making windscreen replacement the primary calibration trigger.

The camera is mounted behind the windscreen near the rearview mirror bracket. No radar behind the front badge on the majority of Crossland X trims.

Crossland X – When ADAS Calibration Is Needed

After windscreen replacement

AEB, LDW, and TSR all depend on the forward camera. When your windscreen fitter replaces the glass, the camera position shifts – even by fractions of a degree. Until the camera is recalibrated, the systems either show persistent warnings or stop functioning entirely. This is the most common reason Crossland X owners contact us.

After front-end collision

Even without radar, a significant front-end impact can disturb the windscreen camera mounting bracket. If AEB warnings appeared after a collision repair, the body shop likely addressed the panels but not the camera alignment behind the glass.

Crossland X vs. Crossland – same sensors

The 2017-2020 Crossland X and the 2020-2022 Crossland share identical sensor hardware. The facelift changed the styling and name, not the ADAS internals. Our calibration process is the same for both – just confirm your registration year when requesting a quote.

Vauxhall Crossland X ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Crossland X

Yes. The Crossland X (2017-2020) and Crossland (2020-2022) use the same PSA PF1 platform with identical sensor hardware and calibration procedures. The name change was purely cosmetic. We calibrate both — see all Vauxhall models.
