Vauxhall Grandland ADAS Calibration

If your Vauxhall Grandland's Adaptive Cruise Control has stopped maintaining distance, or Lane Keep Assist is no longer steering you back into lane, the front radar or windscreen camera has likely been disturbed. The Grandland carries the most comprehensive ADAS package of any Vauxhall – and every system needs precise calibration to function.

ADAS Systems on the Vauxhall Grandland

The Grandland uses the Stellantis EMP2 platform (shared with the Astra L and Peugeot 3008). It's the most ADAS-equipped Vauxhall in the current lineup:

  • Highway Integration Assist – semi-autonomous driving combining ACC with automatic lane centering. Available on the 2022+ Grandland.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – stop-and-go radar cruise, sensor behind the front Vauxhall badge.
  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) / Forward Collision Alert – camera and radar fusion.
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen camera-dependent.
  • Side Blind Spot Alert – rear bumper radar sensors.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing.
  • Advanced Park Assist – ultrasonic sensor-based automated parking.
  • IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights – adaptive beam shaping via camera data.
  • 360-degree camera – available on higher trims.

The Grandland has sensors at the front (radar behind badge, camera behind windscreen), sides (blind spot radar in rear bumper), and rear (cross-traffic radar, parking ultrasonics, rear camera). This means repairs to almost any panel can trigger a calibration need.

Common Grandland ADAS Issues

Multiple system faults after collision

Because the Grandland has front, side, and rear sensors, a significant collision can affect multiple ADAS systems simultaneously. ACC may stop working from front radar displacement, blind spot alerts may malfunction from rear bumper damage, and LKA warnings persist from windscreen camera shift. When more than two systems are affected, our Full System Reset at £499 covers comprehensive recalibration of all sensors.

After windscreen replacement

Highway Integration Assist, LKA, LDW, AEB, TSR, and IntelliLux all depend on the forward camera behind the windscreen. A windscreen replacement affects every camera-based system on the Grandland – which is most of them. If your windscreen fitter replaced the glass but these systems are still showing faults, the camera needs recalibrating.

Parking sensor and rear camera issues

The Grandland's Advanced Park Assist and 360-degree camera use ultrasonic sensors and cameras embedded in the bumpers. Bumper replacements or even minor rear-end contact can disturb these sensors enough to affect parking accuracy. The Mokka and Corsa share similar parking sensor configurations on a smaller scale.

Vauxhall Grandland ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Grandland

Highway Integration Assist combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Keep Assist and automatic lane centering to provide semi-autonomous motorway driving. It relies on both the front radar and windscreen camera working together — if either sensor is disturbed by a repair, the entire system goes offline until both are recalibrated.
