The SpaceTourer (2016+) sits on the EMP2 platform and carries a practical ADAS specification:

• Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking using the windscreen camera
• Active Lane Departure Warning – alerts when the vehicle drifts toward lane markings without indicating
• Speed Limit Recognition – reads road signs via the forward camera
• Coffee Break Alert – steering-pattern fatigue detection

The forward camera sits behind the rear-view mirror. On models equipped with front radar, the sensor is integrated into the front bumper. The SpaceTourer shares its EMP2 platform with the Berlingo, C5 Aircross, and Peugeot Traveller.

When Your SpaceTourer Needs ADAS Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The SpaceTourer's large windscreen is one of the biggest in the Citroën range. Replacing it involves removing and refitting the forward camera. Active Safety Brake, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Recognition all go offline until the camera is recalibrated. Our Windscreen Calibration at £199 covers it.

After Bumper Repair – Commercial Use

Commercial SpaceTourer variants accumulate front-end damage from loading bays, tight turns, and urban deliveries. If the front bumper has been repaired or replaced, the radar sensor behind it needs recalibration. Body shops often complete the panel work but miss this step.

Lane Departure Warning Faults

If Lane Departure Warning has stopped functioning without a recent windscreen replacement, the camera may have shifted from road vibration or a minor windscreen area impact. A diagnostic scan confirms whether recalibration is needed.
