Renault Kadjar ADAS Calibration

Renault discontinued the Kadjar in 2022, but there are still thousands on UK roads – and their ADAS systems still need recalibrating after repairs. If your Kadjar's Active Emergency Braking warning appeared after a bumper replacement, or Lane Departure Warning stopped working after a windscreen swap, ADAS Line calibrates all Kadjar ADAS sensors from £199 at 70+ UK workshops.

ADAS Systems on Your Renault Kadjar

The Kadjar (2015–2022) predates Renault's EASY DRIVE branding – its ADAS systems carry individual names rather than suite packaging. The configuration depends on model year and trim:

2015–2018 (pre-facelift):

  • Active Emergency Braking (AEB) – front radar behind the bumper emblem, standard from mid-grade trims. Detects vehicles at speed.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen-mounted camera, available on higher trims.
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) – rear-quarter sensors on Signature and Signature Nav trims.

2019–2022 (facelift):

  • All of the above, plus:
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar-based, available on S Edition and GT-Line.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based, added with the facelift.
  • Safe Distance Warning – radar-based proximity alert, paired with ACC on higher trims.

The Kadjar's sensor layout is straightforward – front radar behind the Renault emblem, single forward camera behind the windscreen, rear sensors in the rear bumper. No complex multi-camera arrays.

Common Calibration Triggers for the Renault Kadjar

After front bumper work – the Kadjar's front radar sits behind the Renault badge on the bumper. Because the Kadjar is a mid-size SUV, its front end takes more car park and low-speed collision damage than smaller Renaults. Bumper replacement, grille removal, or frontal collision repair all shift the radar sensor. The result: AEB warnings on the dashboard, ACC refusing to engage, or the system braking at the wrong moment.

After windscreen replacement – the forward camera controls LDW and TSR (facelift models). A new windscreen repositions the camera mount slightly, and both systems go offline until the camera is recalibrated. This is our most straightforward Kadjar calibration – £199 for windscreen calibration.

On older Kadjars being repaired after incidents – as the Kadjar ages, more units enter the Cat S/N salvage market. Rebuilt Kadjars need full ADAS verification to ensure sensors weren't damaged or repositioned during reconstruction. Our collision calibration guide covers what to check.

Renault Kadjar ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Renault Kadjar

The Kadjar (2015–2022) has Active Emergency Braking from mid-grade trims and Lane Departure Warning on higher specs. Facelift models (2019+) added ACC and Traffic Sign Recognition. If your Kadjar has any of these systems, they require recalibration after the relevant repair.
