Most Škoda Fabia owners don't realise their car has ADAS until a dashboard warning appears after a windscreen replacement or a minor front-end bump. The Fabia may be Škoda's smallest model, but the Mk3 facelift (2018+) and Mk4 (2021+) both carry Front Assist and optional ACC – the same VW Group radar-behind-grille design used across the entire Škoda range. When that sensor shifts, the systems it powers go dark.
Front Assist warnings do not always follow visible damage. One Fabia owner contacted us after the warning came on with no accident, no bodywork, no obvious cause – just the sensor drifting outside calibration tolerance from normal road use. A hard pothole, a car park kerb clip, or gradual vibration over time can all shift the radar angle enough to trigger the fault without leaving any mark on the car.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Škoda Fabia
If your Fabia is a 2018+ Mk3 facelift or any Mk4 model, it has at least Front Assist (AEB). Mk4 models on SE Comfort trim and above also have ACC and Lane Assist. Check your dashboard — if you see a cruise control stalk and a Front Assist icon in the instrument cluster, your Fabia has radar-dependent ADAS that requires calibration after sensor disturbance.
