Škoda Kamiq ADAS Calibration

The Škoda Kamiq shares its MQB-A0 platform with the Fabia – but the crossover body sits higher, which changes where the front radar sensor meets the world. That raised ride height puts the grille-mounted radar at a different angle relative to the road surface, and body shops repairing a Kamiq bumper need to account for the SUV-specific mounting geometry. If your Kamiq's Front Assist or ACC deactivated after bodywork, the calibration needs to match the Kamiq's sensor position – not a standard hatchback setup.

ADAS Systems on the Škoda Kamiq

The Kamiq launched in 2019 as Škoda's smallest SUV. Its ADAS package sits between the Fabia and the Karoq in terms of system availability:

  • Front Assist – AEB with pedestrian detection. Standard on all Kamiq models. Radar sensor behind the front grille badge.
  • ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) – Standard on SE L and Monte Carlo trims; optional on SE. Uses the same front radar as Front Assist.
  • Lane Assist – Windscreen camera-based lane keeping with active steering. Standard on SE L and above.
  • Rear Parking Sensors – Ultrasonic, standard across the range.
  • Front Parking Sensors – Available on higher trims.
  • Manoeuvre Assist – Low-speed braking when sensors detect obstacles during parking. Available on SE L+.

Unlike the larger Kodiaq, the Kamiq does not offer Side Assist or Rear Traffic Alert – there are no rear corner radar sensors. This means the Kamiq's calibration scope is limited to the front radar and windscreen camera.

Common Kamiq ADAS Triggers

Front Bumper Repair

The Kamiq's front grille is the most common contact point in car parks – the raised SUV body gives drivers a false sense of clearance, but the front bumper corners are still vulnerable. The radar sensor behind the badge is sensitive to bumper misalignment, and even professional refitting after paintwork can leave the sensor fractionally off-target.

After Windscreen Replacement

If your Kamiq has Lane Assist, the windscreen camera requires static recalibration after glass replacement. The Kamiq's upright windscreen angle means precise target positioning during calibration is critical.

Aftermarket Modifications

Kamiq owners who fit bull bars, front light guards, or aftermarket grille inserts sometimes obstruct or shift the front radar sensor without realising. If ACC and Front Assist stopped working after fitting an accessory to the front end, the radar may be blocked or misaligned.

Škoda Kamiq Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

If your Kamiq's ACC stopped working after a front bumper repair, radar calibration at £349 covers the front sensor – the only radar on the vehicle. No rear radar means no rear calibration needed, which keeps the cost to a single service.

Škoda Kamiq ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Škoda Kamiq

No. The Kamiq does not have Side Assist or rear corner radar sensors — blind spot monitoring is only available on larger Škodas like the Kodiaq. The Kamiq's ADAS is limited to front-facing systems (radar and camera), which simplifies calibration to those two sensors.
