Cupra Ateca ADAS Calibration

The Cupra Ateca is a performance-tuned SEAT Ateca – same MQB platform, same ADAS hardware, same radar behind the front badge. After a bumper repair or grille replacement, Front Assist and ACC lose alignment because the sensor sits directly behind the Cupra emblem. Being phased out in favour of the Terramar, the Ateca still has a strong UK presence and will need calibration for years to come.

ADAS Systems on Your Cupra Ateca

The Ateca (2020+) runs on the VW Group MQB platform with the same sensor layout as the SEAT Ateca and VW Tiguan:

  • Front Assist (with City Emergency Braking) – AEB using the radar behind the Cupra badge on the front grille
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Shares the same front radar as Front Assist
  • Lane Assist – Camera-based lane keeping via the windscreen-mounted camera behind the rearview mirror
  • Side and Exit Assist – Blind spot monitoring plus door-opening warning using rear bumper radar sensors
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – Camera-dependent, recalibrated alongside Lane Assist

The radar position behind the badge is identical to SEAT, Volkswagen, and other MQB cars – bumper work on any of these triggers the same calibration requirement.

Common ADAS Triggers on the Cupra Ateca

Bumper Repair or Badge Replacement

The front radar sits behind the Cupra badge. Any work that removes the grille or bumper – collision repair, respray, badge swap – shifts the radar. You'll see "Front Assist not available" or "ACC unavailable" on the dashboard. This is a standard radar calibration fix.

Windscreen Replacement

Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition depend on the windscreen camera. After glass replacement, the camera needs recalibration – our £199 Windscreen Calibration service.

VW Group Error Codes

Error code C110300 (ACC radar malfunction) and C110b54 (Front Assist unavailable) appear on the Ateca identically to VW and SEAT models. These are VW Group diagnostic codes – our equipment reads and resolves them across all four brands.

Cupra Ateca ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Cupra Ateca

Yes. Both share the MQB platform with identical Front Assist, ACC, Lane Assist, and Side Assist hardware. The calibration procedure is the same — same radar position behind the badge, same windscreen camera mount. Only the badge differs.
