Renault Zoe ADAS Calibration

The Zoe was one of the UK's first mainstream electric cars, and while its ADAS is simpler than newer Renault EVs, the systems it does have still require professional calibration after repairs. If your Renault Zoe's Active Emergency Braking or Lane Departure Warning triggered a dashboard fault after bodywork or a windscreen swap, ADAS Line handles calibration from £199 at 70+ UK workshops.

ADAS Systems on Your Renault Zoe

The Zoe's ADAS evolved across its production run but remained more basic than the CMF-EV models that followed it:

Zoe Phase 1 (2013–2019):

  • Minimal ADAS – rear parking sensors and basic cruise control only. No camera or radar-based systems, so windscreen and bumper repairs don't require ADAS calibration.

Zoe Phase 2 (2020–2024):

  • Active Emergency Braking (AEB) – front radar behind the bumper emblem, standard on all Phase 2 models. Brakes automatically when a collision is detected.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen-mounted camera, standard on GT-Line and above.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-dependent, reads speed limits. Available on higher trims.

The Zoe lacks ACC, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway & Traffic Jam Companion, and Blind Spot Warning – those arrived with the CMF-EV platform on the Megane E-Tech. The Zoe's calibration is simpler, but its two sensors must still be correctly aligned.

Common Calibration Triggers for the Renault Zoe

After windscreen replacement – the forward camera on Phase 2 models controls LDW and TSR. A new windscreen shifts the camera position enough to prevent both systems working. This is the most common Zoe calibration: £199 for windscreen calibration.

After front bumper repair – the radar behind the Renault emblem handles AEB on Phase 2 models. The Zoe's compact front end means even low-speed impacts can shift the bumper enough to misalign the radar. If AEB warnings appeared after bodywork, radar recalibration restores the correct angle.

After purchasing a used Zoe – the Zoe is popular on the used market, and some vehicles have had undisclosed repairs that displaced sensors. If your recently purchased Zoe shows intermittent AEB or LDW warnings, a previous repair may not have included ADAS recalibration.

Renault Zoe Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The Zoe's simpler ADAS means most owners need either windscreen calibration (£199) or radar calibration (£349) – not both. A Full System Reset is rarely needed unless the vehicle had significant frontal damage. See all Renault models we cover, including the Clio and Captur.

Renault Zoe ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Renault Zoe

If it's a Phase 2 Zoe (2020 onwards), yes — Active Emergency Braking is standard, and Lane Departure Warning is available on GT-Line and above. Phase 1 Zoe models (2013–2019) have parking sensors and cruise control only — no camera or radar systems requiring calibration.
