The Raval is expected to arrive in the UK from late 2025. As a VW Group MEB Small vehicle, our calibration equipment and procedures will cover it from day one — the underlying sensor architecture is shared with existing MEB models.

Will the Raval use the same ADAS as the Cupra Born?

The Raval is on the MEB Small platform (a smaller, cost-optimised version of MEB), so the ADAS suite may be slightly streamlined compared to the Born. However, the core sensor types — front radar and windscreen camera — are expected to remain consistent with VW Group standards.

Can you calibrate a Raval before official UK launch?

Cupra Raval ADAS Calibration

The Cupra Raval is Cupra's upcoming affordable electric car – built on the VW Group MEB Small platform and arriving in 2025. As a VW Group vehicle, it will carry the same proven ADAS sensor architecture used across the Born, Leon, and Formentor: Front Assist, Lane Assist, and ACC with the same calibration requirements after bumper or windscreen work.

ADAS Systems on the Cupra Raval

The Raval's full ADAS specification is being finalised, but as a VW Group MEB-based vehicle, expect:

Front Assist (with City Emergency Braking) – AEB using a front-mounted radar sensor
Lane Assist – Windscreen-mounted camera for lane keeping
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Radar-based adaptive cruise, likely standard on higher trims
Traffic Sign Recognition – Camera-based sign reading
Side Assist – Rear bumper radar for blind spot monitoring (likely optional or standard on upper trims)

As a smaller, more affordable EV than the Born, the Raval may have a streamlined ADAS suite – but the core VW Group sensor architecture (radar behind the front, camera behind the windscreen) will remain consistent.

What Raval Owners Should Know

VW Group Calibration Expertise

The Raval sits on VW Group architecture, meaning the same calibration procedures, diagnostic codes, and equipment we use on every other VW Group vehicle – Volkswagen, SEAT, Audi, and all other Cupra models – will apply.

Windscreen Replacement

The forward camera behind the windscreen will require recalibration after glass replacement – the same £199 Windscreen Calibration service that applies to every VW Group vehicle.

Bumper Repairs

If the Raval follows VW Group convention, the front radar will sit behind the badge or front bumper area. Any bumper work will trigger a calibration requirement.
