Suzuki Across ADAS Calibration

The Suzuki Across has a Suzuki badge – but everything underneath is Toyota. It's a rebadged Toyota RAV4 PHEV running Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, not Suzuki Safety Support. That means the calibration follows Toyota procedures, not the DCBS/DSBS/RBS systems found on every other Suzuki. If your local garage is trying to calibrate your Across using Suzuki diagnostic tools, they're using the wrong system entirely.

ADAS Systems on Your Suzuki Across

The Across uses Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 – the same ADAS package as the Toyota RAV4:

  • Pre-Collision System (PCS) – AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection using millimetre-wave radar in the front bumper and a monocular camera behind the windscreen
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – Radar-based adaptive cruise with all-speed capability
  • Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – Camera-based lane departure warning with steering assist
  • Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) – Active lane centering for semi-autonomous motorway driving
  • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – Rear radar sensors in the bumper corners
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – Warns of cross-traffic when reversing

The sensor layout follows the Toyota TNGA platform – millimetre-wave radar behind the front grille, monocular camera behind the windscreen. This is entirely different from Suzuki's own HEARTECT-platform sensor positions used on the Swift, Vitara, and Ignis.

Why Your Suzuki Across Needs Toyota-Specific Calibration

Different Platform, Different Procedures

The Across runs on Toyota's TNGA platform – not Suzuki's HEARTECT. Diagnostic protocols, sensor positions, and calibration targets are all Toyota. Our technicians calibrate RAV4s regularly, and the Across follows the exact same procedure.

After Windscreen Replacement

The monocular camera behind the windscreen powers PCS, LDA, and LTA. After glass replacement, the camera needs recalibration using Toyota-specific targets. Our £199 Windscreen Calibration covers this.

After Front Bumper Repair

The millimetre-wave radar behind the front grille powers DRCC and contributes to PCS. Bumper work – collision repair, respray, grille replacement – requires radar calibration at £349.

Suzuki Across ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Suzuki Across

Yes. The Across is a rebadged Toyota RAV4 PHEV — same TNGA platform, same powertrain, same Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 ADAS system. Suzuki sources it from Toyota as part of a supply partnership. Calibration follows Toyota procedures entirely.
